* Russia was upset when Russian President Vladimir Putin was mentioned by name in the first live debate between two US presidential candidates, Ms. Kamala Harris and Mr. Donald Trump, on the morning of September 11 (Vietnam time).
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow was deeply unhappy that Mr Putin's name was being used as part of an internal US political battle.
The Kremlin assessed that Washington has a hostile and negative view of Moscow, and expressed hope that US presidential candidates will stop mentioning Mr. Putin.

Iran-West tensions
* The West is "buzzing" with accusations that Iran is supplying ballistic missiles to Russia for use in the conflict in Ukraine.
