According to data from the Cao Bang Provincial Social Insurance, by 2025 the entire province will have 517,242 people participating in health insurance, a coverage rate of 93.5% of the province's population. This is an important result, demonstrating the province's commitment to achieving universal health coverage, especially in mountainous and border areas that still face many difficulties.

Along with expanding health insurance coverage, the grassroots healthcare network in the province continues to be strengthened and its quality improved . By 2025, 45 out of 56 communes and wards in the province will meet the national criteria for healthcare, reaching 80.3%; the percentage of the population with health management will exceed 97%. The ratio of hospital beds and doctors has increased significantly, reaching 35 beds and 15 doctors per 10,000 people.

Currently, commune health stations are gradually being invested in with facilities and equipment, meeting the basic healthcare needs of the people. Preventive medicine, expanded immunization programs, maternal and child health care, and disease prevention and control are implemented synchronously and effectively. As a result, people, especially in remote, mountainous, and border areas, have easier access to healthcare services, reduced healthcare costs, and a lower risk of falling back into poverty due to illness. In many cases, patients with chronic and serious illnesses have had most of their treatment costs covered by the health insurance fund, contributing to the stability of people's lives.

However, despite the achievements, the universal health coverage program in Cao Bang still faces some challenges, such as limited transportation in some areas, a shortage of high-quality medical personnel at the grassroots level, and uneven awareness among some people regarding proactive health care and participation in health insurance.

In the coming period, Cao Bang province will continue to strengthen the dissemination of information about health insurance policies; improve the quality of medical examination and treatment; invest in grassroots healthcare; and focus on training human resources. At the same time, it will encourage people to participate in health insurance, adopt a healthy lifestyle, and prioritize disease prevention over cure.

The effective implementation of the Universal Health Coverage Day is not only significant in the short term, but also contributes to building a sustainably developed Cao Bang, where all citizens receive healthcare and health protection , in line with the spirit of "leaving no one behind".
