Residents and visitors will enjoy modern music performances, including stages by famous V-pop singers, vibrant K-pop dance cover performances and DJ shows that attract young people.
In addition, the event also introduced performances with strong national identity such as traditional Korean drums from the Noreum Machi Art Troupe and Vietnamese folk art, creating a unique blend between two East Asian cultures.
Another special highlight was the Taekwondo performance by the Korean National Taekwondo Team, which not only displayed top martial arts techniques but also conveyed the sportsmanship and culture typical of the land of kimchi.
In addition, attendees also have the opportunity to explore Korean culture through many open experience areas. Here, visitors can try on traditional Hanbok costumes, participate in handicraft activities, take photos with a Korean-style background and enjoy Korean street food prepared on the spot. These experiences not only attract young visitors but are also suitable for families and children, contributing to bringing Korean culture closer to the Vietnamese community.
The event also focused on folk exchange activities, recreating the village festival space through traditional games of both countries such as “Spinning the circle”, “Jump rope”, “Capture the flag”, “Blindfolded drum beating”. These are games associated with the childhood of many generations, giving participants, especially children, the opportunity to approach folk culture in a fun and intimate way.
In terms of economy and culture, the festival also saw the participation of many Korean enterprises in Vietnam such as CJ ENM, CGV, Kakao Friends and Dook'n Dook'n. The booths will introduce Hallyu (Korean cultural wave) trends, including movies, beauty products, cartoon characters and popular consumer goods in Vietnam.
Mr. Choi Seungjin, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam said: “We have prepared a variety of art performances combining Vietnam and Korea and many cultural experience activities where people can directly participate. Through this event, we hope to further strengthen the friendship and understanding between the two countries, especially through culture, one of the most sustainable bridges”.
