Nghe An: Forest fire in Thanh Chuong and Nam Dan districts

As of the evening of April 30, forces were still trying to control the forest fire in Nam Dan town and Nam Thai commune (Nam Dan district, Nghe An ).

Forest fire in Thanh Chuong and Nam Dan districts

Previously, at around 6:30 a.m. the same day, a fire was discovered in a pine and acacia forest at the foot of Dun mountain (Tan Phong hamlet, Thanh Khai commune, Thanh Chuong district), then spread to a mixed forest in Nam Dan town and Nam Thai commune.

Forces are trying to put out the fire.

Upon receiving the news, forces from Thanh Chuong district, Nam Dan district, support forces from the 414th Engineer Brigade (Military Region 4),... made efforts to extinguish the fire in the forest area of Thanh Chuong district. However, in Nam Dan district, due to hot weather, mixed forest with many ground cover, and complex terrain, controlling the fire was very difficult.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
