"The Generation of Miracles" is the second feature film by director Hoang Nam. The film explores the close relationships between generations, set against the backdrop of contemporary urban life in Hanoi .
"The Generation of Miracles" takes viewers on a touching journey of growth for a young man named Tien (played by Tran Tu). Having experienced a childhood without parents, Tien enters his twenties facing many hardships and challenges, but he still harbors the dream of creating a game that can conquer the global gaming community.
Tien was looked down upon and ridiculed by many who accused him of being addicted to games, useless, and a burden to his family. However, on his journey to achieving his dreams, Tien was always surrounded by the boundless love of his grandmother and the companionship of his young friends. The work is not just a story about one family, but also a humane message: Cherish memories, family bonds, and the aspirations of the younger generation.

Despite it being her first film role, People's Artist Thanh Hoa moved many viewers to tears with her touching scenes depicting the grandmother-grandchild relationship. She called "The Generation of Miracles" a miraculous event in her life. "I hope the film's humanistic message will spread to the audience," artist Thanh Hoa confided.
In inviting veteran artist Thanh Hoa to appear in the film, director Hoang Nam poured much affection into the role of People's Artist Thanh Hoa, hoping to portray the image of a grandmother deeply connected to the memories of many viewers. The filmmaker recounted: “Ms. Hoa was very worried, because besides her love for cinema, she had never acted before. I persuaded her that if she didn't do it now, she wouldn't have the opportunity to try it later when she was older. I hope that after this film, besides singer Thanh Hoa, there will be actress Thanh Hoa who is loved by the audience.”
"The Generation of Miracles" also marks the film debut of Tran Tu, the son of People's Artist Tran Luc. Compared to the mischievous and quick-witted Tran Bom in the reality TV show "Dad, Where Are We Going?" 11 years ago, the 17-year-old boy is now more mature, taller, and somewhat calmer.

Making his acting debut, Tran Tu felt fortunate to be cast as Tien. Upon reading the script, the Gen Z actor was immediately impressed by the hardships Tien faced on his journey to adulthood. He found many similarities with his first role, especially the character's perseverance, determination to achieve life goals, and love for family.
"I've always loved cinema, but acting is a different story. I'm happy to take on this role, but also worried. I just know I have to do my best. I hope to bring a multifaceted image of Tran Tu to life," Tran Tu shared.
Director Hoang Nam said that the journey of the male lead, Tien, was inspired by the story of game creator Nguyen Ha Dong 11 years ago. From the scriptwriting stage, he aimed for a family story, carrying his personal nostalgia for his grandmother. Therefore, he titled the film "Grandma, Don't Be Sad About Me." But after editing, he realized that a grandmother's love is the driving force behind the miraculous achievements of her grandchildren. He decided to change the film's title to "The Generation of Miracles" to encourage young people to create more miracles.

Director Hoang Nam shared: “I myself am passionate about technology and interested in the gaming industry. I believe that one day Vietnam will become a country that produces world-famous games that are also educational and showcase the country's culture. In 'The Generation of Miracles,' the main character is a young man with the aspiration to create a globally sensational game, which reflects my own dream.”
With its new title, "The Generation of Miracles," the film delves deeper into the entrepreneurial spirit of a determined generation who dare to dream and pursue their dreams. On screen, this generation is portrayed through the characters of Tien (Tran Tu), along with his friends: Linh (Hong Khanh), Trang (Tra My, often called Nang Mo), Huy Fam (Huy Vo), and others…
Along with Tran Tu, Hong Khanh's performance as Linh, the childhood friend and neighbor of the male lead, surprised many viewers. Her first acting role brought Hong Khanh many emotions. She continuously learned and honed her skills to improve her acting, overcoming the psychological barrier of being a novice actress to gain confidence in the role.
Having a small role in the film, Meritorious Artist Chieu Xuan said she fell in love with the script the first time she read it. As for Hong Khanh, she believes the film will bring positive energy to the audience: “The film tells the story of young people struggling to find their ideals, unsure if their efforts will be rewarded and if they can recover after setbacks. They always keep their feelings hidden, unable to share them with anyone. The film encourages us to persevere and try our best.”
The film also features many beloved artists such as: People's Artist Bui Bai Binh, People's Artist Tran Luc, artists Quach Thu Phuong, Ha Huong, Tuan Tu, Thanh Huong, singer Tuan Hung… “The Generation of Miracles” officially premieres in theaters on December 12, 2025.
