In the context of epidemics, natural disasters, and rising medical costs, the promulgation of Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW is timely and necessary, demonstrating profound humanity, affirming the spirit of "leaving no one behind" in accessing medical services. The policy of exempting hospital fees at the basic level within the scope of health insurance benefits according to the roadmap to 2030 is a bright spot, considered a "lifesaver" for many disadvantaged families. According to Ms. Tran Hong Loan, Ha Giang 2 ward, whose husband has been treated for cancer for 4 years, this policy helps the family reduce some of the burden of medicine and medical supplies costs, creating more motivation for her and her family to fight the disease.
The application of periodic health check-ups and free screening at least once a year from 2026 has received the consensus of the people. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Cuong, Pho Bang 2 village, Pho Bang commune shared: “Hearing information from the media, I am very excited to know that from 2026, all people will have periodic health check-ups. I just hope that the policy will soon come into life so that our people can feel more secure and worry less when they are sick. This is a humane policy, demonstrating the Party and State's concern for the health of the people, especially working people like us."

In order to achieve the goals of taking care of people's health, in recent years, the Health sector of Tuyen Quang province has proactively built a team of medical staff; focusing on implementing policies to attract and retain qualified medical staff. Thanks to this policy, in the period of 2020 - 2024, the whole province has recruited and attracted nearly 100 doctors and pharmacists.
From 2000 to 2024, the entire sector sent more than 17,000 cadres for training and development in many forms, helping the medical staff and doctors improve their professional qualifications and practical skills. Currently, the Tuyen Quang Health sector has nearly 6,000 cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers with university degrees or higher, with 1,500 doctors...
In addition to improving the quality of human resources, the province also focuses on mobilizing resources to invest in and upgrade facilities, and transfer specialized techniques to medical facilities. Many commune health stations have been equipped with modern equipment, effectively implementing community health management programs, screening, and periodic health monitoring; with special attention to health care in mountainous, remote, isolated, and ethnic minority areas so that people can access medical services right at the grassroots level. This is the premise and foundation for Tuyen Quang to quickly put Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW into practice.
Dr. Nguyen Hung Dao, Director of the Provincial General Hospital, said: “We consider the implementation of Resolution 72-NQ/TW as an opportunity to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, better meeting the health care needs of the people. With the orientation of becoming a high-tech center of the mountainous province, the hospital has invested heavily in modern equipment such as: Multi-slice CT-Scanner, 1.5 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system, new generation digestive endoscopy system with magnification and staining functions to diagnose early digestive tract cancer, etc.
In particular, the hospital has put the Cardiovascular Intervention Room into operation, performing more than 2,000 coronary interventions - an important milestone that puts the hospital on par with central cardiovascular centers. Many specialized techniques that were only performed at the central level have now been deployed at the hospital.
The outstanding mark of Tuyen Quang Health sector in recent years is that the province and the sector have signed and implemented cooperation agreements in training, fostering, transferring techniques to perform high-tech services, comprehensively developing health with many large hospitals in the Central such as: Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, Hanoi Medical University Hospital, Bach Mai Hospital, Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases, Central ENT Hospital... creating conditions for medical staff and doctors to receive new techniques. Thereby, so that people in the province can enjoy more modern and effective health services.
Resolution 72-NQ/TW is a big step forward, demonstrating the strong commitment of the Party and State in building a fair, modern and accessible healthcare system. With breakthrough solutions, focusing on disease prevention, strengthening primary healthcare and applying technology, Tuyen Quang is determined to successfully implement the Resolution, contributing to the national goal of narrowing the gap in access to healthcare services between regions, bringing quality of life and healthy longevity to all people.
