After days of being submerged in the “great flood”, villages and cities in many provinces in the Central region were submerged in layers of mud. In this scene, the spirit of solidarity of the Vietnamese people shone brightly again.

From the time the flood rose until it receded, groups of soldiers, police, militia, youth volunteers, local people and people from all over the country rushed to the flooded areas with vehicles to help the people in distress. Each package of instant noodles, each banh chung, each bread, each bottle of water that the forces and people brought back was hastily delivered in the raging flood.
As the flood receded, people joined hands to clean up, clear village roads, and push mud away from homes and schools. This sharing fueled the fire of solidarity, helping the Central region to steadfastly overcome hardships and continue life after the flood.
The Military Command of Ha Tinh province used canoes to cross floodwaters to evacuate hundreds of people from Truong Yen, Truong Phu and Canh Truong villages (Vung Ang ward, Ha Tinh province) to safety on the morning of October 31. Hong Van Border Guard Station ( Hue City Border Guard) used ropes and pulleys to supply food to 107 isolated people in Ta Lo A Ho (A Luoi 1 commune, Hue City). People share necessities with each other at Dong Hoa residential group (Hoa Xuan ward, Da Nang city) Da Nang traffic police take a foreign tourist out of the flooded area in Hoi An ward (Da Nang city). Officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 stayed up all night to rescue people from the flood in Dai Loc commune (Da Nang city). Soldiers of Military Region 5 disinfect and sterilize Quang Nam Regional General Hospital (Dien Ban Ward, Da Nang City) after being isolated by floods for 5 consecutive days. Officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 and nearly 1,000 people of Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang city) make efforts to reinforce 1km of landslide on An Luong embankment.
