Brotherhood in the midst of devastating floods

After days submerged in a devastating flood, villages and towns in many central provinces were covered in thick mud. Amidst this scene, the spirit of compassion and solidarity among the Vietnamese people shone brightly.

From the moment the floodwaters rose until they receded, convoys of soldiers, police, militia, youth volunteers, local people, and citizens from all over the country, along with their vehicles, rushed to the flooded areas to help those in need. Every packet of instant noodles, every rice cake, every loaf of bread, every bottle of water was hastily brought by the forces and the people amidst the raging floodwaters.

As the floodwaters receded, people joined hands to clean up, clear village roads, and remove mud from houses and schools. This act of sharing ignited a flame of solidarity, helping Central Vietnam to bravely overcome hardships and resume life after the floods.

Forces from the Ha Tinh Provincial Military Command used canoes to evacuate hundreds of residents from Truong Yen, Truong Phu, and Canh Truong villages (Vung Ang ward, Ha Tinh province) to safety on the morning of October 31.

The Hong Van Border Gate Border Guard Station ( Hue City Border Guard Command) used ropes and pulleys to deliver food to 107 isolated residents of Ta Lo A Ho (A Luoi 1 commune, Hue City).

Residents share essential supplies with each other in Dong Hoa residential area (Hoa Xuan ward, Da Nang city).

Da Nang traffic police escorted a foreign tourist out of a flooded area in Hoi An ward (Da Nang city).

Officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 worked through the night to rescue people from the raging floods in Dai Loc commune (Da Nang city).

Soldiers from Military Region 5 disinfect and sterilize Quang Nam Regional General Hospital (Dien Ban Ward, Da Nang City) after it was isolated by floods for 5 consecutive days.

Officers and soldiers of Military Region 5 and nearly 1,000 residents of Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang city) are working hard to reinforce a 1km stretch of eroded An Luong embankment.
