In the first days of the new year 2024, we went to Chieng Dong B Primary School, Chieng Dong Commune, Yen Chau District. We were very impressed with the school, the enthusiastic and friendly teachers, the well-behaved and polite students; the spacious facilities, the green, clean and beautiful campus, convenient for teaching and learning.

In the school yard, a group of students were doing physical education, neatly dressed, with rhythmic and energetic movements. Some students were enthusiastically practicing basketball on the artificial turf. Ms. Lo Minh Trang, the school office staff, enthusiastically took us to the classes and introduced the school activities.

Coming to class 5B, the whole class sat straight, the class monitor stood up straight to report on the class's academic performance. Teacher Hoang Thi Nguyet, the class leader, excitedly said: The class has 25 students, in the 2022-2023 school year, all of them have good conduct, 63% of the students are good and excellent. In the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year, the students not only promoted their achievements from the previous school year, but from the beginning of the school year, they were proactive and helped each other in their studies, the number of students with good and excellent academic performance increased.

Ms. Lo Minh Trang shared: The students here have become disciplined, when visitors come to any class, the whole class will stand up to greet them and send a representative to report on their academic achievements. If they meet visitors outside the school yard, the students will politely greet them with folded hands. We try to build a school with a friendly learning environment, helping students to be good-natured.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Chieng Dong B Primary School has 1 central school and 2 school branches, with 19 classes, 348 students, 24 staff and teachers; 100% of teachers meet or exceed standards, 24 teachers are excellent teachers at the provincial and school levels. Every year, over 99% of students have good conduct; more than 60% of students have good and excellent academic performance. In the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year, 100% of students have good conduct; 63% of students have good and excellent academic performance. Up to this point, the school has basically completed the criteria according to national standards level 2, to be recognized in 2024.

Teacher Luu The Huy, Principal, said: Every month, the school scores the competition between teachers and classes. After that, the Board of Directors evaluates, contributes ideas, openly and democratically, constructively, together resolves difficulties and obstacles, helps each other progress, and creates consensus among all staff and teachers. As for students, the school has a 100-point/month calculation for each class. The school's Red Flag Team monitors and records the mistakes of students in each class every day, such as: not wearing a red scarf, not wearing a uniform, other violations..., as a basis for ranking the competition. Therefore, students in the competition classes voluntarily comply very seriously, in a disciplined manner, and there are almost no students who violate the rules.

We continued to Na Pan school, about 3.5 km from the central school. The school is located next to an old forest, with lush green trees, fresh and cool climate, the school has 6 classrooms, 1 reading room, 156 students. The classrooms have modern architecture, built with environmentally friendly materials, spacious, airy, clean, creating excitement for teaching and learning for teachers and students, increasing the number of classrooms of the school to 6 classrooms, with 156 students.

Quang Van Quang, a student in class 4C, said: I am very happy to study at this school. Although the teaching equipment is not as good as in the centers of districts and cities, I can study in spacious, clean and beautiful classrooms; the teachers are close and instruct me like a kind mother. We love this school and try to study well.

Saying goodbye to Chieng Dong B Primary School when the electric lights were shining on the streets, I left a good impression of a school with many good and studious students and teachers who are always dedicated and passionate about their jobs. I believe that one day in the near future, these students will be talented young generations, contributing to building Yen Chau homeland to be more and more beautiful and civilized.
