Fisherman Nguyen Trieu - the owner of the fishing boat, who was working with the sailors to raise the winch and transport the fish to the port for sale, excitedly said: His boat had been out at sea for 5 days and was lucky to encounter a stream of anchovies, catching nearly 47 tons of anchovies and 3 tons of silver pomfret. With the selling price of anchovies at the port for processing facilities at 12,000 VND/kg and 30,000 VND/kg for silver pomfret, his boat earned nearly 600 million VND, so the 8 fishermen on board were all excited.

With abundant seafood resources, anchovy purchasing and processing facilities are actively steaming and drying fish in the sun, preparing for the first orders of the year. Mr. Nguyen Van Chung - the owner of an export fish processing facility in Quynh Lap commune these days has more than 30 workers working overtime, steaming and drying more than 20 tons of anchovy each day.

According to Mr. Le Ba Ky - Vice Chairman of Quynh Lap Commune People's Committee, the whole commune has more than 100 fishing boats in the coastal area of ​​Truong Sa, so each boat brings back many valuable seafood such as mackerel, anchovy, squid... of which the most is anchovy, many fishing boats make a profit after only 4 days at sea, creating jobs for hundreds of workers.

There are 5 fish processing factories in the commune, operating at full capacity this Tet holiday. In 2023, Quynh Lap commune's seafood output will reach 34,500 tons, an increase compared to 2022. During these days near Tet, most of the fishing vessels returning to the port have high output./.
