According to Chinese media, actress Zhou Haimei's funeral has been completed and held privately with the participation of family members. She passed away on December 11th due to a serious illness.
Chow Hoi-mei's ashes were brought back to Hong Kong (China) to be near her family. In addition, the actress's relatives fulfilled her last wish to take good care of her pets. Her dogs and cats were also brought back to Hong Kong for care.

After ending her last relationship about 10 years ago, Chau Hoi-my decided to pursue a single life and focus on taking care of her pets. She has repeatedly shared that she enjoys living alone and has no intention of getting married or having children.
The late artist devoted all her love to her pets. Zhou Haimei kept two dogs, two cats, a hedgehog, and a rabbit for companionship.
According to Sina, Zhou Haimei once expressed her hope that her family, friends, and those who care about her could love and even accept taking care of these pets should something unfortunate happen to the actress.
A representative from Chau Hoi-my's family stated that they wanted to hold a private funeral to preserve the actress's beautiful and energetic image in the public's memory.
Chau Hai My's mother shared: "My daughter is kind, cheerful, strong, and thoughtful. Hai My's attitude towards life is always positive, always optimistic in the face of difficulties. Hai My has successfully portrayed many characters on screen."
