Nguyen Hong Hien - Chairman of MobiFone at the age of 48

The Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, Nguyen Hoang Anh, has just signed a decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien, Director of the Technology and Infrastructure Department of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, to the position of Chairman of the Board of Members of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation (MobiFone). This decision takes effect from June 1st.

Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, Nguyen Hoang Anh, also signed a decision to transfer Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, Chairman of the Board of Members of MobiFone, to the position of Member of the Board of Members of Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ).

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien will replace Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang as Chairman of the Board of Members of MobiFone, and will be responsible for and represent the management of state capital in this enterprise.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Hien, born in 1974, has held various positions in government agencies and businesses. He previously worked at the State Capital Investment and Business Corporation (SCIC) and the State Capital Management Committee. Prior to that, he served as an officer at the Ministry of Transport .

In August 2017, Mr. Nguyen Manh Thang, a member of the Board of Directors of VNPT Group, was transferred and appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors of MobiFone, replacing Mr. Le Nam Tra.
