Specifically, Asia Materials Joint Stock Company (AIG) has just announced changes in its senior management.

Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Thien Truc will resign from his position as chairman of the board of directors and move to the position of chairman of the company's strategic council, while also serving as a member of the board of directors.

Mr. Bernhard Hackl succeeded Mr. Truc as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Bernhard Hackl had not held any position at AIG before taking on the top spot on the AIG Board of Directors.

The transfer of the chairmanship at AIG will take effect from March 1st.

According to the resolution of the AIG Board of Directors, the new chairman will be responsible for setting the strategic direction for market development, internationalizing new business areas, and building a streamlined and optimized operational structure.

Meanwhile, the strategic council headed by Mr. Truc is responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Board of Directors, the General Management Board, and making important decisions for AIG.

Reportedly, the new AIG chairman is a foreigner who previously held senior management positions at major corporations such as Azelis, Brenntag Asia Pacific Pte, Wacker Chemie AG, and Wacker Chemical Corporation.

As for AIG, its main area of activity is the production and trading of raw materials and seasonings for the food processing, dairy, and food product industries.

According to the annual report, AIG's partners are large enterprises in the market such as Nestle, Vinamilk, Masan , Unilever...

AIG currently has 7 factories including the Saigon Asia Food Ingredients Joint Stock Company factory, Asia Coconut Processing, APIS, Asia Hoa Son, Asia Specialty Ingredients, Mekong Delta Gourmet and Vinh Hao Algae.

This company also recently began trading on the UpCOM exchange under the ticker symbol AIG last November. With a paid-up capital of 1,706 billion VND, over 170.6 million AIG shares were referenced at 63,000 VND per share on the first day of trading.

However, listing on the UpCOM exchange at a time when the stock market was performing poorly, AIG shares plummeted, currently trading at only 48,200 VND per share.

According to the 2024 corporate governance report, former chairman Nguyen Thien Truc still holds nearly 52 million AIG shares, equivalent to 30.32% of AIG's capital at the end of 2024.

Based on the current market value of AIG shares, Mr. Truc is estimated to hold assets worth more than 2,500 billion VND in the stock market.
