According to Gadget360 , Samsung is preparing for the launch of the Galaxy S26 series in February 2026. According to the latest reports, the company will strategically choose not to upgrade the camera system on the base model.
This decision is believed to be aimed at controlling production costs, keeping prices competitive, and focusing resources on other factors such as accessories, charging, and the overall user experience.

The Galaxy S26 is expected to continue using the same camera setup as the Galaxy S25, including: a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP front camera. Instead of changing the hardware, Samsung will improve image quality through software optimization and the power of the new Exynos 2600 chip, promising faster image processing, more accurate colors, and smoother video recording performance.
The highlight of the Galaxy S26 series lies in its accessories and charging technology. Samsung will support the Qi2 wireless charging standard, which is becoming the new standard in the industry, with magnetic cases and accessories for added convenience. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to achieve 25W wireless charging, while other versions will be around 20W, significantly reducing charging time.

Alongside this, Samsung will launch a series of new accessories to expand its ecosystem: magnetic carbon and silicone cases, transparent and shockproof cases, a 5,000mAh wireless power bank supporting Qi2, and a 25W magnetic wireless charger.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra also features Gorilla Armor anti-reflective glass, enhancing durability and outdoor visibility, and continues to support the Bluetooth-connected S Pen, a hallmark of the Ultra series.
Samsung is expected to retain the familiar three versions: Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra. Delaying the camera upgrade is seen as a strategic move to counter Apple, as the iPhone 17 is expected to offer higher specifications while maintaining the same price. By focusing on accessories, charging, and the overall user experience, Samsung aims to differentiate itself and maintain its competitive position in the premium segment.
