Multiplying the creative spirit of youth in startups

Nowadays, start-ups have become a strong movement among the youth of Quang Tri . In order to deepen the movement, in recent times, the provincial Youth Union chapters have aroused the spirit of creativity and have many good ways to help young people start a business successfully.

In early 2022, when the youth start-up product consumption support channel quangtrimart.vn, jointly built by the Vietnam Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union, came into operation, some people did not have much faith. Some predicted that the channel would "bloom early and fade quickly", and would not be effective. Those conflicting thoughts quickly changed as the youth start-up product support channel quangtrimart.vn grew. Through the channel, youth start-up products reached customers inside and outside the province. Some foreign customers even came to the channel to choose the items and products they liked.

Also close to the time when this youth start-up product consumption support channel was launched, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union to build and operate the Quang Tri youth start-up network. After its establishment, the network attracted the participation of a large number of young people. Up to now, the network's members have reached 2,000.

By joining the youth startup network, young people can easily exchange information, share knowledge, experience, skills, etc. Thanks to the network, many young people can find outlets for their products. Seeing the effectiveness, members of the network have introduced their relatives and friends to join.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province Nguyen Quoc Toan, the channel to support the consumption of youth start-up products quangtrimart.vn and the youth start-up network are two of many new ideas and creative ways of doing things by Quang Tri youth to help promote the start-up movement.

For many years, when the start-up movement spread in the area, the cadres of the Vietnam Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union have deeply recognized the meaning and role of promoting the creativity of young people in this area. Everyone understands that without creativity, the start-up activities of Quang Tri youth in general and each union member and young person in particular will find it difficult to achieve success. Multiplying the fire of start-up is not only the responsibility of the union and youth union cadres but must originate from each young person.

Realizing that, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province has had many solutions to promote the creative spirit in youth start-ups. The campaign "Creative youth for the country's development" has been widely deployed by all levels of the union.

In coordination with the Youth Union and related units, the chapters at all levels organize many programs to arouse and promote the creative spirit of young people such as: Creative idea contest; youth creativity forum; creativity festival...

Activities to support young people in scientific research, promote young people to pioneer the application of information technology, science and technology in labor, production and life have brought about encouraging results. Many creative ideas of young people have been successfully applied in practice.

Along with promoting the spirit of creativity, the Vietnam Youth Union at all levels in the province focuses on implementing activities to accompany and support young people in starting a business. Many efforts to help young people improve their awareness, skills, knowledge and creativity in starting a business have been implemented by the association.

From 2019 to early 2024, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province coordinated to organize 20 e-commerce training courses, equipping young people with business knowledge, soft skills, and training in transferring science and technology to young people who own economic models in the whole province, attracting more than 3,000 union members and young people to participate. Along with that, the association also coordinated with agencies, organizations, and businesses to support young people in terms of capital, science and technology, and brand promotion...

Activities to support young entrepreneurs in applying digital platforms to production, business and market access are focused. In addition to the channel to support the consumption of youth startup products quangtrimart.vn and the youth startup network, recently, the Vietnam Youth Union of the province has coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union to act as a bridge for 32 youth startup models with reputable businesses in direct and online forms.

Understanding the difficulties and problems of young people, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee and the Secretariat of the Provincial Vietnam Youth Union have advised the Provincial People's Council to supplement the capital source of 3 billion VND from the local budget entrusted through the Provincial Social Policy Bank for young people to borrow capital to establish themselves and start a business according to Resolution No. 103/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council.

At the same time, the chapters and unions at all levels continue to maintain and develop the entrusted loan capital source through the Provincial Social Policy Bank to support young people in borrowing capital for economic development and job creation. As of May 2024, the total outstanding debt reached 626 billion VND. From the loan capital, many young people have realized their creative ideas, risen to start and successfully establish their businesses.

Not stopping at the above activities, recently, the Secretariat of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province has also directed the chapters at all levels to actively search for, develop, and gather talented young people. From here, the association joins hands to nurture, support, and help them best promote their talents in all fields, especially in starting a business.

Along with the honoring activities, many forums were jointly organized by the association so that young intellectuals and talented youths could contribute their wisdom and inspire others. From here, the creative flame was passed on and multiplied, helping the startup movement of Quang Tri youth to spread more and more strongly.
