Accordingly, the weather during the 5 days of April 30 - May 1 this year is very hot, so many tourists from provinces and cities across the country choose Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh as an ideal destination to cool off. Therefore, the total number of tourists to Binh Dinh is higher than last year and reached more than 277,185 arrivals, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2023 (April 30 - May 1 holiday in 2023 reached 249,700 arrivals), total revenue reached 305 billion VND, an increase of 18.5% over the same period in 2023 (in 2023 it reached 257.2 billion VND).

According to the Department of Tourism of Binh Dinh province, the total number of visitors registered at tourist accommodation establishments reached 94,185, an increase of 15% over the same period in 2023. Room occupancy at tourist accommodation establishments from April 28 to May 1 is estimated at about 70 - 75%. Of which, most large tourist accommodation establishments along the coast from 3 to 5 stars achieved room occupancy of 95% during the holidays from April 28 to April 29.

From April 27 to May 1, there were 70 flights (14 flights/day) carrying 14,000 passengers to Binh Dinh by air. From April 26 to May 3, each day Dieu Tri Station welcomed 1,200 passengers (expected to welcome 9,600 passengers).

Mr. Tran Van Thanh - Director of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism said that on the occasion of April 30 - May 1 this year, organizations and individuals doing tourism business in the area have done a good job of preparing and ensuring safety conditions for vehicles, traffic infrastructure connecting to tourist attractions, parking and vehicle storage areas serving tourists on road and waterway vehicles.

Tourist accommodation establishments and tourist areas and attractions in the province have proactively arranged enough staff and officers to serve guests 24/7. Prepare necessary facilities and conditions to ensure absolute convenience and safety for guests in terms of security, order, food hygiene and safety. Strictly comply with regulations on public price posting and selling at the correct listed price.

Lao Cai achieved revenue of over 800 billion VND in 5 days of the holiday

During the 5-day holiday, the total number of tourists to Lao Cai is estimated at 256,485, an increase of 13% compared to the 2023 holiday. Total revenue from tourism is about 857 billion VND, an increase of 20% compared to the 2023 holiday (712 billion VND).

Tourists to localities such as Sa Pa town welcomed about 132,000 visitors, Lao Cai city about 75,300 visitors, Bac Ha district about 35,000 visitors, Bao Yen district about 44,000 visitors, Bat Xat district 14,500 visitors.

Guests stayed mainly on the evenings of April 27, 28 and 29. The average room occupancy rate is estimated at about 60 - 65% (in Sa Pa town alone, the room booking rate is mainly concentrated in the 3 - 5 star hotel segment, with an occupancy rate of about 95%; at community tourism sites, it is 65%, most concentrated in Ta Van and Muong Hoa communes).

During the 5-day holiday, key tourist areas in the province organized cultural, sports and typical events that attracted tourists and were well received and highly appreciated by the people and visitors, such as: A series of events opening the Summer Festival "Sa Pa - the land of love" took place in Sa Pa town; Bao Yen district organized community tourism stimulus activities in Nghia Do commune with the theme "Yellow color by the Nam Luong river" for the second time in 2024; in Bac Ha district, instead of organizing Bac Ha night market every Saturday night, on this occasion, the night market was maintained for all 5 days of the holiday with art programs performed by folk art teams imbued with the traditional cultural identity of the district's ethnic groups.

On this occasion, tourism activities in the province were carefully organized, ensuring safety for people and tourists; tourism service businesses were well prepared, proactive in ensuring quality standards of the business, no overload at tourist areas and spots; room rates and service prices were stable.

Ba Ria - Vung Tau welcomed 626,360 tourists, up 25% over last year

On the afternoon of May 1, Mr. Trinh Hang, Director of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, said that on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, the total number of visitors visiting, entertaining, and staying at hotels, tourist areas, and beaches in the province was about 626,360, an increase of about 25% over the same period in 2023.

Of which, the number of guests staying is about 186,238, an increase of about 49.45% over the same period in 2023, and the number of international guests is 28,872.

Tourists to Ba Ria - Vung Tau this year increased by 25% compared to last year.

Total tourism revenue from April 27 to May 1 reached about 668,826 billion VND, an increase of about 12.49% over the same period. Room capacity is about 80-95% in the whole province.

According to the reporter's records, this year the weather is hot, the holidays are long, and the transportation is expensive, so many tourists from nearby areas choose to come to Ba Ria - Vung Tau to have fun, visit, and swim.

Tourists mainly visit the Lighthouse, Con Heo Hill, Nghinh Phong Cape... while swimming is concentrated in Bai Sau Vung Tau, Phuoc Hai beach, Long Hai, Xuyen Moc, Con Dao...

After 5pm every holiday, tourists come down to swim in the East Sea.

Due to the hot weather, during the holidays, tourists mainly drink coffee, eat and swim in the sea in the early morning and after 5pm.
