Many meaningful activities in "National Unity Day"

On the morning of October 31, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Thieu Ward (HCMC) organized the "National Solidarity Day" associated with the launch of the "For the Poor" Peak Month in 2025.

This meaningful activity was organized as part of a series of events by Lai Thieu ward to celebrate the First Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, term 2025 – 2030.

Speaking at the launch of the "For the Poor" campaign month, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Thieu Ward, called on officials, Party members, Youth Union members, association members, businesses, and the people to join hands in caring for poor and near-poor households and vulnerable people; contributing to building Lai Thieu Ward into a "Civilized - Compassionate - Sustainable Development" ward.

Lai Thieu Ward also launched meaningful projects, such as: the Women's Union with "Flowering Alleyways - Clean Houses and Beautiful Gardens", the Youth Union with "Connecting Green Hearts", and the Veterans Association with the model "Exemplary Veterans - Accompanying the Alleyways of Compassion".

Meanwhile, the Red Cross also impressed with its "Zero-Cost Kitchen" and "Charitable Eye Surgery" models, and the Association of the Elderly with its "Joining Hands to Care for the Health of the Elderly" program.

In her directive speech, Ms. Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee, acknowledged and praised the spirit of solidarity and compassion of the Fatherland Front system and other mass organizations, and requested that they continue to replicate successful models, contributing to the goal of "leaving no one behind".

On this occasion, the Fatherland Front of the ward presented symbolic plaques of the "For the Poor" Fund to 15 neighborhoods. They also announced and presented plaques for the implementation of community-building projects and activities such as: building and repairing Solidarity Houses; the "Neighborhood of Compassion - Free of Plastic Waste" model; and the "Green, Clean, Bright, and Safe Alleyway" model.
