On September 3, Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang received Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Product of Italy Valentino Valentini on a working visit to Vietnam and chaired the Vietnam-Italy Business Forum.
Deputy Minister of Enterprise and Products of Italy Valentino Valentini thanked Vietnam for its good feelings for Italy, congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing the 80th National Day celebration, emphasizing the feelings of many generations of Italian people for Vietnam since the war years to protect the country.
Deputy Foreign Minister Le Thi Thu Hang thanked the Italian Deputy Minister for his kind congratulations on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day; stressed that this is an important turning point for Vietnam as it enters a new era, and at the same time appreciated and was grateful for Italy's assistance to Vietnam in the past war for independence, as well as in the current process of national development.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated Deputy Minister Valentini's visit and chairing of the Vietnam-Italy Business Forum; believed that the Forum would be an opportunity for businesses of the two countries to strengthen cooperation, especially in the fields of green energy, digital transformation, high technology...
Regarding the relationship between Vietnam and Italy, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang assessed that the two countries still have a lot of potential to promote cooperation in the coming time, especially in the field of economic cooperation; proposed that Italy support Vietnamese enterprises to improve their competitiveness, increase imports of Vietnamese products such as seafood, textiles, wooden products and invest more in Vietnam in the fields of agricultural processing, food, fashion, high technology, energy, seaport construction...
Deputy Minister Valentini assessed that in the context of many changes in the world, both Italy and Vietnam need to pay attention to the fields of digital technology , green technology, energy, artificial intelligence...; at the same time, solve challenges of energy balance, including ensuring development while minimizing environmental impacts.
Deputy Minister Valentini affirmed that Italian businesses are increasingly interested in the Vietnamese market and are willing to share experiences to address the above challenges through activities such as the Energy Transition Seminar and the Vietnam-Italy Business Forum during this visit; and suggested that the two sides coordinate to organize similar activities in Italy in the coming time.
Appreciating the role and coordination between the two countries' Foreign Ministries, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang and Deputy Minister Valentino Valentini agreed that the two sides should closely coordinate to promote the Vietnam-Italy Strategic Partnership in the coming time, especially in areas where both sides have strengths, meeting the development of Vietnam and Italy and the interests of the people of the two countries./.
