According to Sport DongA, the song Famous by the mixed group Allday Project has covered the entire music charts in Korea, achieving Realtime All-kill certification after only 5 days of release.
Not only Famous , the remaining song Wicked also has the potential to become a big hit. On Melon's two major charts, Hot 100 and Top 100, Wicked holds positions 3 and 11 respectively. This is considered a clear proof of the undeniable appeal of the new "dinosaur rookie".
The return of a forgotten model
Officially debuted on June 23, Allday Project is a mixed group with 3 female members: Annie, Bailey, Youngseo and 2 male members: Tarzzan, Woochan. The group has an average age of 21 years old.
The special thing that made the name Allday Project cause a media storm is that member Annie - daughter of the president of Shinsegae Group Jung Yoo Kyung, one of the largest retail groups in Korea. The fact that a "rich daughter" stepped into the harsh entertainment industry immediately attracted special attention from the public.

But Allday Project isn't just about their pedigree. Led by The Black Label and "wizard" Teddy, the group has invested heavily in music, image, and marketing strategy. The song "Famous" has a strong dark pop, alternative R&B, and Latin pop color scheme, with a multi-layered musical structure that helps highlight each member's individual personality.
According to the Hearald Economy , in nearly three decades of K-pop's development, the hybrid group model has been tried many times but has not been successful.

Groups like Roo'ra, Koyote, and most recently, KARD, each made their own mark, but still couldn't overcome the biggest barrier, which was opposition from the fandom.
Music critic Lim Hee Yoon believes the main reason why this model has not been widely accepted is because of the polarization in K-pop fan culture.
Usually, female fans bond with boy groups through "virtual love" feelings, while male fans prefer the "girl crush" model in girl groups.
The presence of members of the opposite sex in the same group can easily take away the feeling of "ownership" that fans once had, thereby causing reservations or even boycotts.
Not to mention from the producer's side, managing a group of men and women living and practicing together is a sensitive issue. Rumors of love within the group can seriously affect the image and reputation of the artists.
However, times are changing. Fandom culture is maturing with more diversity in gender, orientation, and approaches to idols.
Critic Jung Min Jae commented: "Modern fans not only seek romantic feelings but also admire talent and style. They easily accept idols with personality, beauty, and talent regardless of gender. That is an opportunity for groups like Allday Project."

Allday Project does not repeat the past
Compared to previous co-ed groups, Allday Project takes a completely different approach. Instead of focusing on a combination of male and female music, the group positions itself as a combination of two separate groups. This allows the group to maintain diversity while effectively reaching both fan bases.
The Black Label calls "Famous " the song that best represents the group's identity. It's dynamic, trendy, and powerful.

The debut song Famous fully represents the identity of Allday Project
With a well-planned communication strategy, outstanding individual image and financial backing, Allday Project is making a big splash in the already saturated K-pop market. The group has charted a different path, avoiding the failed shadow of their predecessors and emerging as a new icon.
However, many people in the industry are still skeptical about Allday Project. The name "Project" makes them think that this is just a temporary experimental model.
If each member leaves early to pursue individual careers, the group may not be able to maintain the same strong bond as traditional music groups.

Critic Kim Do Heon warned: "What's important is whether the group can maintain its collective identity in the long term. If it only exists as a short-term project, Allday Project will quickly be replaced by new concepts."
Still, the emergence and initial success of Allday Project shines a light on the future of co-ed groups in K-pop - something that was previously considered impossible.
This is not only the story of a group with a "family heir" but also a potential turning point in the definition of a new generation idol group: more open, more flexible and representing an increasingly global K-pop.
