Among the 21 players selected for the Indonesian U17 team, four are currently playing abroad: goalkeeper Mike Rajasa, defenders Lucas Lee and Mathew Baker, and midfielder Eizar Tanjung.
"This squad is a combination of outstanding young players from within the country and some players currently playing abroad," PSSI stated.
This is the second consecutive time the Indonesian U17 team has participated in the U17 World Cup finals. In the previous tournament, Indonesia participated as the host nation.
At the 2025 U17 World Cup, Indonesia is in Group H along with Brazil, Honduras, and Zambia.
The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 3rd to 27th. Coach Nova Arianto's team will begin their journey with a match against Zambia (November 4th), then against Brazil (November 7th), and conclude the group stage with a match against Honduras (November 10th).
