Pho Day is very special.
"This was my first time attending Pho Day and I was incredibly surprised. I didn't think so many people would come. It's true that Vietnamese people love pho," Khoi Tran shared.
Khoi Tran is an actor with a passion for cooking, having participated in the celebrity cooking competition Master Chef in 2017. Therefore, he is quite knowledgeable about food and knows how to cook many dishes, but he doesn't dare to cook pho himself, even though there are plenty of recipes online.
He believes it's difficult to cook pho with the authentic, delicious flavor. Moreover, in Ho Chi Minh City, there are countless pho restaurants everywhere, so you can simply enjoy a hot, fragrant bowl of pho without needing to cook it yourself.
"I'm a huge fan of pho; I've tried almost every pho restaurant. When we were filming 'Our Future' in Hanoi , I ate at Pho Thin Bo Ho instead of rice."
Here, I chose the Lang Son-style roast duck pho because I'd never tried it before. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a fragrant mushroom aroma. The roast duck was also delicious. It's perfect for those who enjoy the taste of roast duck."
Actor Le Minh Thanh was both sightseeing and filming to create content for his YouTube channel. He said that yesterday, social media was flooded with images of Pho Day, so he wasn't surprised, but he was still amazed by the grandeur of the event when he arrived. "I regret not trying all the different types of pho; I ate five bowls and was too full. Now I have to spend time at the gym," he said with a laugh.
Le Minh Thanh is from the Mekong Delta, but pho is also one of his favorite dishes. He said, "I choose to eat pho in the morning, with a poached egg, and that's enough energy to perform all day."

Fascinating stories about pho.
What made Le Minh Thanh's trip to Pho Day interesting wasn't just the fact that he got to eat five bowls of pho, but also the stories of each pho stall he visited.
"I just found out that Pho Khoe, a Vietnamese brand, is sold in Korea, not in Vietnam. I also didn't expect there to be pho noodles made from corn, or pho with roast duck. Pho Day brings together all the characteristic types of pho from different regions. People just need to come and experience many different pho flavors. It's very interesting and meaningful," he shared.

Khoi Tran also affirmed that Vietnamese pho is truly a dish that has reached the world stage and established its brand. Gathering different types of pho into one program, making it convenient for people to discover this dish, is a good approach and should be maintained.
Khoi Tran suggested that one bowl of pho was already too filling, and that the organizers should design smaller bowls so that diners could enjoy more varieties of pho.

The Pho Day 12-12 program, now in its 9th year with the theme "Elevating Vietnamese Rice - Spreading Across Five Continents," will take place over two days, December 13th and 14th, at the former Tax Department Store area, 135 Nguyen Hue Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
The program features nearly 30 famous and unique pho brands from North to South Vietnam, showcasing a diverse range of pho dishes reflecting the characteristics of different regions and local cultures.
With a price of 40,000 VND per bowl, the Pho Day festival on December 12, 2025, is expected to serve more than 20,000 servings over two days. The organizers will donate at least 10% of the pho sales revenue to the "Pho of Love" program, cooking and serving pho to people in the flood-stricken areas of Dak Lak province (formerly Phu Yen), which recently suffered damage from natural disasters.
The Pho Day 12-12 program is supported and coordinated by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Trade Promotion - Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Culinary Culture Association, with the diamond partnership of Acecook Vietnam Joint Stock Company for many years, and this year with the additional support of Ho Chi Minh City Development Commercial Bank (HDBank), Cholimex Food Joint Stock Company, Saigon Trading Corporation Limited (SATRA), Suntory Pepsico Beverage Company Limited, etc.
