The road from Pung village to Con Dao village, Suoi Tut (Quang Chieu commune) is bright with red flags with yellow stars.
Joining the atmosphere of celebrating National Day September 2, the road from Pung village to Con Dao, Suoi Tut villages, Quang Chieu commune is brightly decorated with red flags with yellow stars. Previously, the road connecting the above villages was only a dirt road, making it difficult for people to travel. During the rainy season, people in the villages could hardly travel by motorbike. Now, the road has been concreted, making it easier for people to travel and trade.
Walking on the road with the national flag, in the middle of the Cay Noi sticky rice field - a 3-star OCOP product of the locality, Mr. Trieu Minh Xiet, Secretary of the Quang Chieu Commune Party Committee, showed pride in his eyes. Mr. Xiet shared: "In recent years, thanks to the attention of the Central and the province, the locality has invested in building many traffic works, aiming to connect remote villages with the commune center. In particular, the bridge over Xim stream and the road from Pung village to Con Dao and Suoi Tut villages, more than 7km long, are concreted, opening up trade routes for the people. Many dreams have been and are being nurtured, including the dream that Con Dao and Suoi Tut villages will one day become community tourism destinations with the unique identity of the Dao people on the border".
Not only roads, Dao villages here are also changing their skin and flesh every day thanks to the national electricity grid. Knowledge from newspapers, radio, and telephones opens up opportunities for people to develop their economy . A typical example is the orange growing model of Mr. Phan Van Lieu's family, Suoi Tut village. Currently, his family has 2,000 trees, of which more than 700 are being harvested. In addition to growing oranges, his family also raises 10 cows and grows rice on the fields. Meanwhile, Mr. Trieu Van Cau's family, Con Dao village, from a place where they only knew how to clear fields all year round, has now learned how to grow oranges and watermelons to bring to Sang village to build a hut to sell on the roadside. Thanks to knowing how to calculate and working hard, each year he earns tens of millions of dong in profit.
Going up to Trung Thang, Sai Khao, Un villages, Muong Ly commune when the sun has just risen above the mountain top. Only about 20km from the center of Muong Ly commune, but the journey to the 3 Mong villages above used to be a harsh journey. Now, motorbikes and cars can go to the villages and to the people's houses. The temporary classrooms of the past have now been replaced by solid schools, 100% of the children can go to class.
The road of change not only brings convenience to people's trade, but also motivates economic development and the building of new lives in Trung Thang, Sai Khao and Un villages. Instead of being self-sufficient as before, the Mong people have now actively participated in developing agricultural and forestry production. From the barren mountainous areas, they have now transformed them into bamboo, cassava, lemongrass, and giang trees and raised large livestock. Mr. Vi Van Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Muong Ly commune, said: "The policies and guidelines of the Party and State for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, especially investment in roads, have contributed to changing the lives of the people. Because there are concrete roads that can be used in all four seasons, people do not have to worry about being isolated when the rainy season comes. Raising chickens, picking bird's nests and bamboo shoots, people can transport them to the market to sell or traders can come to the village to buy them, all of which are very convenient."
National Highway 15C connecting Hoi Xuan commune to Muong Chanh commune, Ten Tan border gate has created conditions for border communes to connect with lowland communes. Provincial Highway 21D from Muong Lat commune to Chieng Nua bridge in Muong Ly commune, National Highway 16 connecting Trung Ly commune to Muong Ly commune has created momentum for people in highland and border communes of Thanh Hoa province to exchange goods with Phu Tho and Son La provinces. The traffic road project from Pa Quan village to Ta Com village, Trung Ly commune; the project to upgrade and renovate the traffic road to Un - Sai Khao village, Muong Ly commune; the project to upgrade and renovate the traffic road from the center of Suoi Long village, Tam Chung commune to Sai Khao village, Muong Ly commune; The project to upgrade and renovate Xa Lao - Tung village, Trung Ly commune road... has also been completed, effectively connecting villages and communes together, contributing to socio-economic development, improving the material and spiritual life of people in each locality.
