Ordinary examples in everyday life following Uncle Ho's teachings

On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025) and the summary of 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW of the Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle", a special exhibition entitled "Simple but noble examples" is held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum from now until the end of August.

With more than 200 documents and artifacts, the Exhibition introduces to the public 135 typical and advanced examples, including 71 collectives and 64 individuals with outstanding achievements selected from more than 600 typical examples in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style introduced and honored by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Provincial Party Committee, City Party Committee, and Party Committee directly under the Central Government.

Here, each document and artifact is a touching story about groups and ordinary people who have overcome their circumstances and fate, dared to think, dared to do, constantly tried, devoted themselves to the benefit of the community, for the peace and prosperity of the country...

Dedicated and brave firefighter

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Viet Quan, officer of the Staff Department, Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Police Department - Hanoi City Police is a typical example of a dedicated and brave soldier.

Enlisted in 2011, from the very beginning he always showed a sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute. Firefighting and rescue work not only requires professional skills but also sacrifice and perseverance.

Lieutenant Nguyen Viet Quan has had to work through the night many times, facing toxic smoke, high temperatures, and other dangerous situations. However, he always maintains a spirit of steel, ready to sacrifice himself for the safety of the people.

Among the hundreds of firefighting cases he has participated in, the most notable was the fire in Quynh Loi (February 2024). He bravely broke the iron cage with his teammates, saving 4 people in a dangerous night, contributing to protecting the safety of the residential area. For that achievement, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister.

Not only is Quan brave on the front lines of fire prevention and fighting, he is also a role model in training and propaganda, contributing to improving fire prevention and fighting skills for the community.

He has been awarded many times and is an excellent Young Face of the Capital Police, a typical model of a firefighter "selflessly for the people".

Lighting up hope for life from the hearts of the sick

Doctor Nguyen Anh Tuan, Head of Cardiology Department, Ha Nam General Hospital is a typical young doctor nationwide, the first person to successfully apply coronary angiography and intervention techniques in the province.

Having spent 15 years in the Emergency Department and many years working in the cardiology field, he has always upheld the spirit of "a good doctor is like a mother", dedicated to saving the lives of thousands of patients in critical condition.

With more than 2,000 successful angiography procedures, 600 coronary artery interventions, 10 scientific research topics and many advanced techniques implemented, Dr. Tuan not only contributes to improving the hospital's professional level but is also a shining example of medical ethics and dedication.

Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan was honored to receive many Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, the Central Youth Union, and dozens of other noble titles. With his talent, morality and enthusiasm, he has strongly inspired the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the health sector of his province.

For more than 40 years, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngang (Mrs. Sau), born in 1936, residing in Quarter 3, Tan An Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, has been quietly selling bread with a kind heart.

Many people affectionately call Mrs. Ngang a "fairy" in everyday life, because at her rare age, she is still lucid, every day bringing loaves of bread at "unbeatable" prices to people in need.

From her small bread stand, she has spread love through simple yet meaningful actions. A 5,000 VND loaf of bread - the price has not changed for decades - is her way of sharing love with students, workers, and poor laborers, helping them have a warm breakfast before starting a day of work and study.

That simple yet noble example is loved and admired by the people. At the closing ceremony of the Campaign “Building a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle”, she was honored by Tan An ward with the title “Exemplary citizen”.

Her simple actions are a valuable lesson in compassion, inspiring the younger generation to continue the good tradition, building Thu Dau Mot into a civilized, modern and humane city.

Passionate about scientific research from an early age, I always strive to explore and learn to be able to create many practical projects with high technology applications.

Besides, during the research process, I have always been encouraged and supported by teachers, family and friends, both materially and professionally, which has helped me complete my ideas, have creative ways of doing things, more suitable to real conditions, and succeed in researching products. Minh Tu has created many highly applicable products.

In the 2023-2024 school year, my product "BMD acupressure, massage, and automatic drug delivery machine" won second prize in the National Science and Technology Competition.

The device consists of three parts: computer vision to scan the feet, a reflexology - massage - drug delivery system and an interface to update patient information for remote monitoring by doctors.

In 2023, his team won the Gold Medal at the INNOVERSES 2023 international innovation competition with the product “Head-Mouse” that controls computers with the head. Tu’s products are highly appreciated for their creativity, commercialization potential, and are of interest to domestic enterprises for development.

Minh Tu's outstanding achievements are not only the pride of her family and school but also a strong inspiration to other students.

Young Party members innovate and create in production

Born on April 3, 1992 in Yen Thanh, Nghe An, young engineer To Quang Thuc Anh has been an employee of the Technology Department of Tan Thang Cement Joint Stock Company from 2019 to present.

During his career, young engineer Thuc has researched and innovated a lot, and together with his staff, found initiatives and solutions that have brought billions of dollars in profits to the company.

As a young party member, he always promotes the pioneering and exemplary spirit, constantly learning and striving to contribute to the development of the business and the community.

At work, Mr. Thuc always continuously learns and updates new technology, closely follows production, and together with the staff finds solutions that benefit the company. He has researched and proposed using FNT6VN additives in furnace drying oil, helping the company save more than 3.2 billion VND per year.

In addition, he also implemented energy-saving operational solutions, used low-grade coal, controlled the quality of input and output materials, ensured that products met domestic and export standards, and aimed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

From 2023 to 2025, To Quang Thuc was continuously recognized as an outstanding worker, an excellent party member at the grassroots level and at the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor level, becoming a typical example in the patriotic emulation movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers.

Police officer donated blood 28 times to save lives

Captain Dinh Van Giap, a police officer of Dak Mam town, Krong No district, Dak Nong province, is a typical example in the voluntary blood donation movement.

Participating since the early days of the establishment of the "Red Volunteer Soldier" model of the Krong No District Police, every time there was a request from a patient, Captain Dinh Van Giap did not hesitate to face difficulties, regardless of day or night, rain or shine, he traveled dozens of kilometers to the Central Highlands General Hospital (Dak Lak province) to donate platelets, promptly saving the patient from a critical condition.

From April 2023 to now, he has donated blood 28 times to save lives, including 18 times donating platelets in time to help many children and pregnant women overcome critical situations.

No matter when, where, when there are critical cases and he is needed, Mr. Giap is always there to help. Typically, on November 9, 2024, when he received news that an 11-day-old baby in Dak Lak urgently needed group B platelets, he immediately traveled 60km of mountain pass at night to donate blood. While donating, he received news that a 10-day-old baby also needed group B platelets, so he continued to donate a second time.

On December 29, 2024, he promptly went to the Central Highlands General Hospital to donate platelets to save an 11-year-old boy with severe dengue fever. Regardless of difficulties, he is always ready to go out to save people - a noble act, spreading the spirit of humanity in the community.

It can be seen that typical examples such as Mr. Giap, Ngoai Sau, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Viet Quan... continue to affirm President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Taking good people and good deeds as examples to educate each other every day is one of the best ways to build the Party - build new people, new lives".
