People's Artist Hong Van reveals the reason why she is afraid to act in "intimate" scenes with Quyen Linh

People's Artist Hong Van and artist Quyen Linh are famous close friends in the Vietnamese entertainment industry. Recently, the two artists attracted attention when they played "on-screen lovers" in the movie Hai Muoi.

In Hai Muoi , People's Artist Hong Van plays Tu Lat - a kind middle-aged woman who sells dried fish in Can Gio and has never known the taste of family. Mrs. Tu Lat secretly loves Mr. Hai (played by artist Quyen Linh) - a single father who makes a living by making salt.

People's Artist Hong Van shared that when receiving the script from director Vu Thanh Vinh, she considered it very carefully because there were "intimate" scenes. Although a veteran artist, Hong Van admitted that she felt awkward when acting in love scenes with Quyen Linh. In real life, the two are close, but during the filming, they felt shy with the romantic scenes.

This role was "tailored" by director Vu Thanh Vinh for artist Hong Van, but the female artist said that when transforming into the character, she also had many difficulties.

People's Artist Hong Van said that Tu Lat is a pivotal character, contributing to highlighting the relationship between Mr. Hai and his daughter. What she likes most about the character is his honest, cute and kind personality, reflecting the people of Thieng Lieng island (Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh City).

As for artist Quyen Linh, he also admitted that he felt awkward when having to act out a love scene with Hong Van because the two were so close in real life. However, thanks to Hong Van's professionalism, the two artists quickly overcame their initial awkwardness to complete their roles.

"Hong Van is very strong in acting, she is my guide. If Hong Van had not been proactive, I would have only been able to laugh during the filming," artist Quyen Linh praised his close friend.

The film tells the story of the life full of ups and downs, events, smiles and tears of Mr. Hai and his daughter Muoi, spreading a meaningful and humane message about the value of family affection.

Hai Muoi is scheduled to premiere on August 30.
