On the evening of July 20, speaking with VietNamNet reporter, Ms. Tran Thi Yen, Chairman of Dak Mar Commune People's Committee ( Quang Ngai ) confirmed that she had assigned the police to verify and clarify the incident of a female student being beaten by a group of people that occurred in the area.

According to Ms. Yen, the initial determination that the incident occurred in the two communes of Dak Mar and Dak Ha is that the locality is currently discussing with the Dak Ha Commune Police to coordinate and invite the group that beat the female student to work.

Previously, a clip of a female student being beaten up in a coffee plantation was circulated on social media. In the clip, the female student in black was attacked by two girls, punching and kicking her continuously even though she was lying on the ground. Another female student even held her helmet and gave it to the person who was beating her to continue the assault.

It is worth mentioning that although there were some male students standing around, no one intervened, and even kicked the victim.

According to initial information, the beaten female student is T, a student at a middle school in Dak Mar commune.

The family discovered the incident after a neighbor accidentally saw the viral clip in a text message. When asked, T. admitted that he had been beaten by this group at least twice. The group that beat T. did not attend the same school.

About a month ago, T. came home with many scratches but lied that it was from falling off a motorbike. Later, T. admitted that he had been beaten and kept it a secret for fear of retaliation.
