Receiving a golden ticket to the theater round in episode 1 of Vietnam Idol 2023 (Vietnam Idol ) made Ho Vo Thanh Thao (20 years old, living in Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City) extremely emotional and happy.

When participating in the program, this girl did not inform her parents because she wanted to create a surprise.

Thanh Thao's mother appeared unexpectedly at the show, making the girl emotional.

Upon receiving the announcement from the program, Thao's mother rode her motorbike alone for more than an hour to get to the place where her child was taking the exam. Because she was not familiar with the road, Thao's mother was looking at the map while driving and had an accident. "My mother fell off her motorbike, causing scratches and bruises on the right side of her body. Seeing the MC helping her step by step into the studio, I burst into tears because I missed her so much," Thao recounted.

Young audiences often know this girl by her stage name Muoi. Explaining the meaning of this name, Thao said: "Muoi is the name my parents often call me at home. This name evokes a feeling of intimacy that only loved ones often call me at home. And later when the audience calls me by this name, I think they will love me too."

Thao always gives her all whenever she has the opportunity to perform on stage.

Thao said that when she was young, her parents were very passionate about art but did not have the means to pursue their passion, so from the age of 4, Thao was supported by her family to study music and work at a children's home. "In grade 3, my parents sent me to study music at the center of artist Ta Minh Tam, who was my first teacher. In grade 8, I learned to play the guitar and practiced composing. The first song released was "Thank you, Dad". Up to now, I have composed more than 10 songs," Thao said.

Before coming to Vietnam Idol 2023, in addition to studying at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Thao often sang at acoustic cafes to earn extra income. Talking about her family's situation, Thao said: "Currently, my family still rents a house, and has witnessed many moves since I was young. Selling chicken rice has been my family's main source of income for the past 15 years."

Before making an impression at Vietnam Idol 2023, Thao participated in the show The Voice Kids. 2014 and entered the top 12 (singer Lam Truong's team - PV) and was valedictorian of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, intermediate level, 2020.

“In the future, I still want to maintain the image of a girl who tells stories through songs, makes her own music, and plays the guitar when performing. A girl who always looks at things innocently, if she tells sad stories, it is with a gentle tone, approaching them from a positive perspective. In the future, I will be more innovative and vibrant with music genres such as: R&B, POP... instead of just singing ballads,” Thao shared.
