Female valedictorian awarded the rank of Lieutenant

This is the result of the hard work in studying, training, and cultivating the qualities and medical ethics of female soldiers at the Military Medical Academy.

Nguyen Thuy Nhuong was born in Bac Ninh, a homeland with a rich tradition of mandarin education and revolution, which is the source of nurturing special feelings about the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers. In 2018, with her efforts and hard work in studying, Nhuong passed the entrance exam to the Military Medical Academy with a score in the top of the class.

During her studies, with her diligence and eagerness to learn, Nguyen Thuy Nhuong always researched and developed for herself a suitable learning method for each subject, especially difficult subjects, right from the beginning. Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thuy Nhuong shared her secret: “For students, studying and training are the core political tasks. In addition to studying, it is necessary to cultivate extracurricular activities and physical activities to help balance and regain excitement after stressful study sessions. When participating in many missions, I learned how to scientifically arrange work, providing useful knowledge for studying.”

The achievements are a testament to the constant efforts of the female student. For 6 consecutive years, Nguyen Thuy Nhuong has been an excellent student, a Certificate of Merit from the Minister of National Defense in 2021, a Certificate of Merit from the Chief of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army in 2021, an Emulation Soldier of the whole army in 2022, received the IBS scholarship from the Military Medical Academy in 2020, 2021, the Vallet scholarship in 2022, 2024...

Not only studying hard, Nguyen Thuy Nhuong also actively participated in scientific research with 3 topics winning first, second and encouragement prizes at the Academy level. In particular, the topic "Research on changes in blood lactate concentration and its relationship with mortality rate in patients with multiple organ failure" by Nhuong and the research team won the first prize at the Academy level and the second prize of the Science and Technology Award for students in higher education institutions in 2023. Sharing about her achievements, Nhuong humbly said that in addition to her own efforts, there is also the enthusiastic guidance and teaching of the teaching staff, the attention, help and facilitation of all aspects of the leaders, commanders at all levels and the unit.

After the graduation ceremony, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Thuy Nhuong received the task of staying at the Military Medical Academy to await assignment. “No matter what task I undertake, in any position, I will constantly cultivate my ethics, professional qualities, and improve my professional knowledge to always listen and understand the pain of the sick. My teammates and I will strive to become military doctors, wearing the blue and white uniforms with the noble mission of taking care of the health of soldiers and people,” Nguyen Thuy Nhuong said.
