The beach is about 7 km from Le Thanh International Border Gate. The road to the beach is quite convenient as visitors can follow the border patrol road which has been paved with flat concrete.
Therefore, from motorbikes to private cars or service buses, it is easy to move to the beach. That is one of the reasons why this area has become the number 1 favorite place in recent days not only for people in Duc Co district but also for localities in and outside the province.

This is an area that nature seems to have bestowed upon the people of the Duc Co border area. Because throughout its hundreds of kilometers of flow, there are few places on the Po Co River that are as clear, gentle and dreamy as this. The riverbed here is hundreds of meters wide, the water level is quite shallow for many ages to bathe.

In the middle of the river, there are also “floating islands” with cool, lush bushes and majestic rocks and pebbles. The riverbank is covered with a layer of fine sand that is hard to find anywhere else. Thanks to that, the water is always clear even though dozens, hundreds of people are immersed in the water playing.

According to the reporter's records, at noon on April 30, there were about 500 people visiting the Po Co river beach. Most of them formed groups of 5-10 members, including friends or family. Each group chose a cool forest canopy on the riverbank, then camped, cooked, and relaxed in the clear water.

Mr. Hoang Van Nam (Chu Ty town, Duc Co district, Gia Lai province) humorously said: “People on holidays often go to Quy Nhon, Phu Yen , Nha Trang… to swim in the sea, but we go to “heal” right at the beach in our hometown. Swimming here is no different from going to the beach because the swimming area is very large and safe, the water is very clear and cool. My kids love it, every weekend when they have a school break they ask to swim here.”

During the days when the whole country is immersed in hot weather, immersing yourself in cool water is considered "true love". Ms. Pham Thi Ha (Yen The ward, Pleiku city) excitedly said: "I have never seen Pleiku city so sunny, so this holiday I also wanted to find a cool place for the whole family to go. When I saw some Facebook pages sharing photos of this beach, my group of friends decided to go right away because it is about 80 km from Pleiku city, the newly completed National Highway 19 is very beautiful so it is quite convenient for traveling".

In addition to preparing food and drinks from home, some people also choose to buy from spontaneous businesses in this area.
With supply and demand, some local households have taken advantage of this opportunity to sell grilled chicken, grilled meat, vegetables, beer, soft drinks, ice... to serve the needs of tourists.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoan (Ia Dom commune, Duc Co district) shared: “In recent years, this beach has started to attract many visitors, not only from Duc Co but also from Pleiku city, surrounding districts or Kon Tum province and also tourist groups from other provinces.
Especially on holidays and Tet, the number of visitors is even higher, so we also want to sell more food and drinks to serve people. The beach is currently in its most beautiful days. This year, the hot weather lasts for a long time and there are many days off, so the number of visitors during the holidays is probably the highest compared to previous years."

However, Po Co river beach is in the same situation as many other spontaneous tourist spots due to the poor awareness of some visitors.
According to the reporter’s observations, most of the groups that brought food after the picnic cleaned up their trash and put it in the right place. However, there were still many cases of inorganic waste such as plastic bags, bottles, etc. being thrown into the water or littered everywhere along the riverbank. This not only made the environment unsanitary but also reduced the beauty of the landscape here.
