In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Thai Nguyen City Fatherland Front Committee has built 9 targets and 6 action programs with the goal of "Promoting the strength of the Great National Unity, continuing to innovate, create, improve the quality and effectiveness of the Fatherland Front's activities, contributing to building Thai Nguyen City to develop rapidly and sustainably in a civilized and modern direction".

The key tasks set out are: Consolidating and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; expanding the organization, diversifying the forms of mobilization, gathering, and widely uniting all classes of people, ethnic groups, and religions to build the great national unity bloc; representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; regularly innovating the content and forms of activities of the information and propaganda channels of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
