Mr. Nguyen Van Danh re-elected as Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial Labor Federation

On the morning of September 26, the 19th Congress of Ha Tinh Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term continued its third working session with many important contents.

Attending the congress were representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission Truong Thanh Huyen, and leaders of a number of departments and branches.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Trong reported the results of the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XIX, 2023 - 2028.

At the working session, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XIX, 2023-2028, reported to the congress the results of the first conference. Accordingly, the conference approved the personnel plan of the Standing Committee; the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Federation of Labor, term XIX, 2023-2028. With a spirit of solidarity, democracy and high unity, the conference elected the Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor, consisting of 11 comrades; elected the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor.

As a result, Mr. Nguyen Van Danh was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor; Mr. Ngo Dinh Van, Ms. Le Thi Hai Yen, and Mr. Nguyen Van Trong were re-elected as Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Federation of Labor.

The conference also discussed, approved the project and elected the Provincial Federation of Labor Inspection Committee for the 2023-2028 term, consisting of 9 comrades.

Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Le Thi Hai Yen reported on the synthesis of opinions and recommendations of union members and employees to the Party, State, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee.

The congress also listened to a report summarizing the opinions and recommendations of union members and workers to the Party, the State, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee regarding a number of issues such as: considering reducing the retirement age for some specific occupations; increasing the regional minimum wage and stabilizing market prices; regulations on trade unions and workers suing enterprises when they violate labor law regulations; salary and allowances for workers in the education and health sectors; jobs, housing, and benefits for workers...

Delegates shared experiences and good practices in approaching the grassroots, developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers; inspection and supervision work...

The Congress adopted the draft Resolution with the general objective: To build a comprehensively strong Ha Tinh Trade Union, ensuring the good performance of its functions and tasks in the new situation; to complete and exceed the goals and tasks assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; to build a team of advanced and strong workers worthy of being the pioneer force in implementing the socio-economic development tasks of Ha Tinh province.

The Congress also elected a delegation to attend the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union for the 2023-2028 term, including 10 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
