(Dan Tri Newspaper) - Former US President Donald Trump said that if he is re-elected, he will reserve influential positions in the government for billionaire Elon Musk as well as former rival Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Responding to questions at a campaign rally in Arizona on October 31st about whether Kennedy or Musk could become key figures in his administration if he were re-elected on November 5th, former President Donald Trump affirmed that he intends to do so.
However, he noted that Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk doesn't want to do secretarial work and instead wants to focus on finding ways to reduce waste in government spending.
"He thinks he can cut $2 trillion without hurting anyone, and I believe he can do it. He wants to cut costs, he wants to save the country," Trump said.
Despite initially declaring political neutrality, billionaire Musk officially endorsed Trump earlier this year and became a key figure in the former president's campaign. Trump promised to establish a special "government effectiveness" committee, known as DOGE, headed by the billionaire.
Regarding Kennedy, the grandson of the late President John F. Kennedy, Trump said he wanted the former Democrat to work in the field of medicine and healthcare. Kennedy had previously competed in the election as an independent candidate but ultimately decided to drop out and endorse Trump.
Earlier this week, Kennedy himself confirmed that former President Trump had promised him a role in the administration, albeit without leading any government agency. He could play a role in personnel selection as a senior advisor.
Howard Lutnic, co-chair of Trump's transition team, also said that Kennedy would not head the Department of Health and Human Services if the Republican candidate were re-elected.
Earlier, Donald Trump had also praised Kennedy as a supporter of American family and children's health. Trump affirmed that he would establish a committee of leading experts to work with Kennedy to investigate children's health.
