Reporting to Tien Phong Newspaper, people in Lang Thuong village, My Duc commune (An Lao district, Hai Phong city) said that during the process of pouring concrete for a new model rural road, they discovered that the concrete did not meet the structure and quality standards.

Specifically, on the evening of November 12 and 13, the concrete supply unit transferred 4 tank trucks to construct a new model rural road. At the construction site, people doubted the quality of the concrete so they cleaned the fresh concrete and discovered that the concrete mixing stone was not the correct size according to the standard (2x4cm), with too much small stone.

Mr. Bui Duc Ba (a resident of Lang Thuong village) said that the concrete delivered to the construction site showed signs of clumping, and the proportion of small-sized mixed stones was too large. After complaining, the driver deliberately dumped the concrete on the road and then left, making the people very upset. Therefore, the people did not accept these 4 concrete trucks and at the same time requested the An Lao District Construction Investment Project Management Board and My Duc Commune People's Committee to come and check the road quality.

Immediately afterwards, the People's Committee of My Duc commune and the An Lao district Construction Investment Project Management Board inspected and determined that some concrete trucks transported to the construction site did not meet quality standards.

The An Lao District Construction Investment Project Management Board requested the contractor to demolish a section of road that had used concrete on November 12-13 to inspect and supply quality concrete to replace it for people to build roads.

A representative of the An Lao District Construction Investment Project Management Board said that the model new rural road in Lang Thuong village, My Duc commune is about 850m long, 4m wide, 16cm thick concrete, the concrete supply package has a volume of 530m3 of commercial concrete.

This route is built by combining the people's efforts and the support of state agencies. Accordingly, people donate land, labor days, and organize the construction of the road structure and foundation, while the district provides concrete for people to construct.

Immediately after receiving the feedback, the An Lao District Construction Investment Project Management Board requested cutting, chiseling, and digging old concrete, organizing quality inspection and providing quality concrete for people to construct model new rural roads.
