The Scholarship for Valedictorians is an annual activity of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund, under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and Tien Phong newspaper is the permanent organizing agency, for new valedictorians of universities and academies nationwide - new students with excellent academic and training achievements, strong will to overcome adversity and a spirit of dedication.

Each year, the program selects and honors about 100 - 120 outstanding valedictorians, awards scholarships and certificates of merit from the Director of the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund in recognition of their efforts.
The 2025 Valedictorian Step Up Program is expected to be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City at the end of December 2025 with many rich and useful activities (specific time and location will be announced later).
The organizing committee plans to award more than 100 scholarships to new valedictorians and students with high entrance rankings to universities and academies nationwide; each scholarship is expected to be worth 10 million VND in cash and many other gifts.
In addition, the Organizing Committee will cover all travel and accommodation expenses for students (schools and academies outside of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi) during the 2025 Valedictorian Step Up program.

The Organizing Committee respectfully requests that leaders of schools and academies send their application documents to Tien Phong Newspaper for consideration and award of scholarships.
Scholarship application documents include:
1. Certificate of new valedictorian, students with high entrance ranking (with entrance score) confirmed by school leaders.
2. Citizen identification card (certified copy).
3. Poor, near-poor, ethnic minority household books (if any, certified copy).
4. Certificates of awards in provincial, city, national and international competitions (if any).
5. Letter of Intent (Each candidate writes a handwritten letter about their family situation, their efforts during their studies, and at the same time, shows their plans, dreams and aspirations for future contributions). On the letter of Intent, a portrait photo and the candidate's current address and phone number are attached for the Organizing Committee to easily contact.
Deadline for receiving documents: No later than November 25, 2025 (based on postmark).

Launched in 2016, the program has awarded about 1,000 scholarships to outstanding new students across the country, contributing to encouraging the spirit of learning and spreading the values of knowledge, ethics and determination.
Not only a material reward, "Supporting Valedictorians" also has the meaning of supporting the spirit - becoming a symbol of the journey of nurturing Vietnamese talents, connecting generations of valedictorians, businesses and social organizations in the mission of developing high-quality human resources for the country.
