The launching ceremony was attended by 100 delegates representing departments, branches, associations, unions, enterprises, cooperatives, supermarkets, trade centers, markets... in the province.

In order to honor and promote the Vietnamese brand and image in the context of international economic integration; to encourage and motivate businesses to strive and continue to achieve many achievements in building and developing brands, in 2008, the Prime Minister chose April 20 every year as Vietnam Brand Day. Up to now, the whole country has had 172 businesses with 326 products achieving the Vietnam National Brand.

Paying attention to brand development, Lao Cai province has currently granted 393 trademarks, including: 50 collective trademarks, 17 certification trademarks, 326 ordinary trademarks without geographical names and 2 geographical indications.
Among them are some famous brands that have become provincial and domestic brands, such as: Seng Cu Muong Khuong rice, Bac Ha plums, Sa Pa chayote, Muong Khuong chili sauce, Bac Ha pears, Muong Khuong tangerines, Muong Khuong yellow beef, Nghia Do duck, Bat Xat ginseng vermicelli,...; geographical indications: Tham Duong - Van Ban sticky rice, Seng Cu Muong Vi Bat Xat rice...
The whole province has 176 products certified with provincial OCOP, of which 23 products have 4 stars and 153 products have 3 stars.
The province is maintaining and developing 132 certified safe agricultural product chains, of which over 60 agricultural product chains are supplying the market of Hanoi city and neighboring provinces; there are 328 safe product lines belonging to 104 enterprises and cooperatives with electronic traceability stamps.

Participating in the response to Vietnam Brand Day 2024, local units have deployed many propaganda banners and billboards at their headquarters and on main roads in Lao Cai city. Supermarkets and shopping centers have implemented promotional activities: Buy and get free, discounts, etc., attracting a large number of interested consumers to shop.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Tuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, Chairman of the Consumer Rights Protection Association of Lao Cai province, called on the business community and cooperatives to continue promoting the spirit of innovation, dynamism, creativity, strengthening cooperation, improving competitiveness, raising the position of Vietnamese enterprises in the international market; constantly reaching higher and further, raising the level of core values, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of Vietnam in the global economy; implementing practical, creative and effective activities in response to Vietnam Brand Day, stimulating consumption in Lao Cai province.
