According to the Quang Tri Border Guard, at about 6:00 a.m. the same day, a body was discovered on the shore of Thanh Hai village (Bac Trach commune), about 200 meters southeast of Lang Ong Ngu; the other body washed ashore in Tien Phong village, about 2 kilometers from Lang Ong Ngu. Immediately after receiving the information, the border guard force coordinated with Bac Trach commune police to protect the scene; at the same time, notified PC09 Department of Quang Tri Provincial Police and relevant agencies to carry out legal procedures and verify the victim's identity.

Meanwhile, in the Gianh River estuary area, the work of salvaging fishing boat BV-92756-TS and searching for missing crew members resumed this morning, after having to be temporarily suspended during the night of September 29 due to big waves, strong winds and danger to the rescue team.

Rescuers used an excavator to break the ship's roof, then used a specialized crane to pull apart pieces of the hull with cables, creating conditions to access the ship's interior.

Previously, the authorities had mobilized all means, built a temporary steel road for a large crane to approach the ship; at the same time, used excavators to dig sand around the ship to reduce the load, creating favorable conditions for salvage. However, when the cable suddenly broke, the ship's hull was buried deep in the sand, making it impossible to break the roof and open the interior compartment to search for the crew.

Present at the scene, Quang Tri Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Tran Phong closely directed the rescue work, requiring forces to mobilize maximum human resources and means, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to urgently search.

As reported by VNA, on the evening of September 28, two fishing boats numbered BV-92756-TS and BV-92754-TS, carrying a total of 13 crew members, while anchoring to avoid the storm in the Gianh bridge area, suddenly broke their anchor and were swept away by large waves. Four crew members were lucky to swim to shore safely, the remaining 9 are missing. Currently, the authorities are continuing to make the greatest efforts, expanding the search area at sea, determined to find the remaining crew members soon.
