At about 9:44 p.m. on May 6, people reported to the People's Committee of the commune about the discovery of an abandoned newborn baby on the inter-village road in village 4, An Phu commune.
At the time of discovery, the baby still had the umbilical cord and placenta intact, wrapped in a towel.
The local authorities quickly sent medical staff to the scene to provide first aid and take the girl to the commune health station. Currently, the girl's health is stable and she is being monitored and cared for.
An Phu Commune People's Committee has directed the preparation of records to transfer the child to Gia Lai Province General Social Protection Center for care and nurturing according to regulations.
