Martyr's remains and many relics discovered in a resident's garden

(Dan Tri) - Through information from local people, authorities in Quang Tri searched for and recovered the remains of a martyr along with many relics.

On December 5, news from the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command said that the Martyr's Remains Collection Team (Team 584) had just found a martyr's remains in Truong Phuoc village, Hai Lam commune, Hai Lang district (Quang Tri).

The martyr's remains were found in the garden of Mr. Tran Thai Hoa's family, residing in Truong Phuoc village, at a depth of more than 1 meter, wrapped in a hammock, along with some relics such as a pitcher, an infantry shovel, a fountain pen...

Team 584 exhumed and brought the remains of the martyrs to the Hai Lang District Martyrs Cemetery, awaiting the funeral and burial. Authorities continued to expand the search area in the area where the remains were discovered.

In early December, while carrying out the mission of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in Laos, Team 584 Quang Tri also discovered a martyr's remains in Ta Koi village, Nong district, Savannakhet province. The remains were found along with a number of relics including tanks and bullet shells.

In the 2024-2025 dry season search plan, Team 584 Quang Tri found 12 remains in this province and 3 remains in Laos.
