Foul-smelling raw materials were discovered at a sausage production facility in Quy Nhon ward.

(GLO)- On September 17, Market Management Team No. 3 (Gia Lai Province Market Management Department) coordinated with the Economic Police Department (Provincial Police) to suddenly inspect Gia Quy sausage production facility (located in 4 connected houses at 838-844 Tran Hung Dao Street, Quy Nhon Ward).

The inspection team noted that inside the facility there are full lines of machinery and cold storage for sausage production and packaging.

However, on the 4th and 5th floors of house number 840, the inspection team discovered nearly 100 200-liter plastic barrels containing pig skin and pork fat in a foul-smelling condition. In addition, in the warehouse containing additives used for food processing, there were products that were past their expiration date.

The inspection team requested the facility owner to present documents, invoices and vouchers proving the origin of raw materials, production conditions and legality of food additives.

Authorities are classifying and counting all raw materials, additives and finished products at the facility to clarify violations and handle them according to the provisions of law.
