(CT) - Since the beginning of the year, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Thuy Ward has coordinated with the Party Committee, government and socio-political organizations of the ward to continue promoting democracy and mobilizing resources to take good care of people's lives.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward coordinated with agencies, units, and religious organizations to mobilize more than 2,970 gifts, worth more than 1.5 billion VND to support poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households on the occasion of Lunar New Year; gave 122 Chol Chnam Thmay gifts to Khmer ethnic households in difficult circumstances, with a total value of over 38 million VND. On the occasion of Vu Lan festival, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward coordinated with Buddhist establishments to give 450 gifts, worth 150 million VND; mobilized benefactors to organize the giving of 200 rice portions to lottery ticket vendors and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 36 million VND... At the same time, mobilized the construction and repair of 8 Great Unity houses for households, with a total value of over 260 million VND...

In addition, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee launched a fundraising campaign to support people affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi). As of October 24, the amount of money raised was over 306 million VND.
