First session of the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term 2024

On the morning of August 2nd, at the Provincial Conference Center, the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, for the term 2024-2029, opened its first working session. The congress was attended by 200 delegates representing over 196,000 young people throughout the province.

Comrade Bui Duc Giang - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Federation, 5th term, delivered a speech.

With the slogan: “Youth of the Ancestral Land: Unity - Creativity - Aspiration - Development”, at the first session, the Congress elected the Presidium and the Secretariat; reported on the delegates attending the Congress, approved the program, regulations, and rules of the Congress; presented a summary report of opinions contributing to the documents of the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term 2024-2029; presented a summary report of opinions contributing to the documents of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Vietnam, term 2024-2029; and presented a review report of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term V, 2019-2024.

Delegates voted in consultation to elect the Provincial Youth Union Committee for the sixth term.

The Congress promoted democratic consultation to elect the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term VI, 2024-2029; the Chairman of the Union for term VI; the Vice-Chairmen, the Secretariat, and the Inspection Committee for term VI; and delegates to the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union , term 2024-2029.

Within the framework of the first session, two discussion forums were held on the topics: "Youth of the Homeland Taking the Lead in Digital Transformation" and "Strengthening Youth Solidarity and Mobilization, Building and Developing a Strong Youth Union Organization." These were particularly interesting topics that attracted a large number of young people, who contributed their opinions enthusiastically. At the forums, young people had the opportunity to express their voices, analyze the realities, strengths, and tasks of youth in making practical contributions to the digital transformation process in all aspects of life; and innovate ways to mobilize youth to build a united, strong, pioneering, and proactive Youth Union organization to implement various movements.

The Congress serves as a political forum for the youth of Phu Tho province to summarize and evaluate the results of implementing the Resolution of the 5th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, term 2019-2024; and at the same time, determine the direction, tasks, and solutions for the work of the Union and youth movements in the term 2024-2029.

This afternoon, the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Phu Tho province, for the term 2024-2029, will enter its solemn session.
