Actor Johnny Tri Nguyen – who is also involved in the project – appeared in special introductory videos at events such as Vietnam Cine Cocktail, Vietnam booths, and conferences, affirming: “This will be the most epic and eye-catching Vietnamese historical action film ever made.” He emphasized the role of martial arts and national spirit in Vietnamese history, and shared about the crew’s efforts in faithfully recreating the setting, costumes, and cultural landscape.

Guardian Spirit: The Mystery of King Dinh’s Tomb is a large-scale historical action project, inspired by the legends and historical imprints of the Dinh Dynasty. Vice President of BHD – Ms. Ngo Thi Bich Hanh – commented: “In the next decade, Vietnamese cinema can absolutely tell stories of epic proportions. This project is a strategic step.”

In parallel with promotional activities in Cannes, the film crew held a casting in Ho Chi Minh City on May 15 and 16, attracting more than 500 candidates, including many familiar faces such as Chau Tuyet Van, Ha The Anh, Lanh Thanh, Quoc Anh, Ma Ran Do...

The next casting will take place on May 20 and 21 at BHD Star Cinema Pham Ngoc Thach ( Hanoi ).
The film is expected to start filming in November and December 2025 and be released to audiences in the second quarter of 2026.
