(NLDO) - The game "Pho Anh Hai" has caused a stir in the online community because everyone thinks this is a real pho restaurant, while it only exists in the virtual world.

In early November 2025, the phrase "Pho Anh Hai" suddenly became a search trend on Vietnamese social networks. Many people were curious to find the restaurant's address, even typing "Pho Anh Hai, No. 10 Dan Phuong , Hanoi " on Google Maps to see where the restaurant was, hoping to enjoy the "hottest" pho dish on the internet, but then quickly discovered that this was just a product of a video game.

This attention-grabbing game is called Brother Hai's Pho Restaurant, developed by an independent game maker in Vietnam and released for free on the itch.io platform.

In the game, players transform into Anh Hai, the owner of a pho restaurant in a small village on the outskirts of Hanoi. Seemingly simple tasks such as cooking pho or serving customers lead to a series of humorous, mysterious situations with a strong Vietnamese cultural color.

From the sound of motorbikes, knives and chopping boards... to the old signboard, the game vividly simulates the atmosphere of a popular restaurant. That familiar setting makes many people mistake this for a real restaurant in Dan Phuong commune, creating a wave of searches in real life.

A ride-hailing company's fanpage posted an announcement that it had recorded a sharp increase in searches related to "Pho Anh Hai" and "10 Dan Phuong" in recent days.

On social media platforms, a series of streamers posted experience clips, contributing to making "Pho Anh Hai" even more viral.

Streamer Hat Snow Player, who has a YouTube channel with more than 1.84 million subscribers, commented: "Good game, mixed with many top stories. For me, this is the Game of the Year of this year."

Meanwhile, Kubz Scouts, a YouTuber with over 6.3 million followers, excitedly shared his experience: "I didn't know what to expect, but the game exceeded my expectations. The storytelling was random and engaging, I just wanted to keep playing."

According to Google Trends statistics, the number of searches for "Pho Anh Hai" increased sharply in the first days of November. The phrase "number 10 Dan Phuong" is also in the top search trends in Vietnam.

The rapid spread of the game also led to speculation that Pho Anh Hai was the graduation project of a student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

The person who is said to be the author of the humorous game said that "if I use the game as my graduation project, I'm afraid I won't be able to defend it."

In response to these rumors, the person believed to be the developer of the game "Pho Anh Hai" with the account marisa0704 spoke up on YouTube and platform X, affirming that the game is not a project because he himself is "not yet qualified to graduate".
