In the localities, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Tuan Sinh and the working delegation inspected the key points of Cau Chay River through Thieu Long Commune; inspected the harvest of winter-spring rice in Thieu Giang and Thieu Duy communes (Thieu Hoa); inspected the operation of water pumps to drain water in Cau Khai, Dinh Tang Commune; inspected the key points of Cau Chay River and the protection of agricultural production, rice and crop harvest in Yen Thinh Commune (Yen Dinh). Through the quick reports of the localities on the response to storm No. 3 and focusing on harvesting winter-spring rice, by the morning of September 6, Thieu Hoa district had harvested more than 2,235/7,770ha of winter-spring rice, reaching 30% of the cultivated area; Yen Dinh district had harvested 1,373/8,732ha of winter-spring rice, reaching 13% of the cultivated area.

Through on-site inspection and listening to reports from localities, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Tuan Sinh emphasized: Storm No. 3 is forecasted to be of strong intensity, with a high possibility of affecting provinces in the Northern and North Central regions, of which Thanh Hoa province is likely to be directly affected by the storm. Therefore, Thieu Hoa and Yen Dinh districts must fully, seriously and effectively implement the Central and Provincial Telegrams on strengthening leadership and direction in storm response.
Localities proactively check and prepare approved disaster response plans and emergency response plans. At the same time, mobilize forces, materials and means to be ready for rescue according to the "4 on-site" motto to ensure safety for the project. Focus on directing people to harvest 80% or more ripe rice and other vegetables that are ready to be harvested with the motto "green at home is better than ripe in the fields".
Along with that, members of the District Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Disaster Prevention closely follow communes and towns to direct the response and overcoming of widespread flooding caused by heavy rain; irrigation units are fully prepared to operate pumping stations in the area, protecting agricultural production and people's property.
Localities closely monitor the developments of storm No. 3 and instructions from superiors to respond and regularly inform and propagate to the people to proactively respond when the storm makes landfall and heavy rain occurs.
