On the evening of September 13th (local time), Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the Vietnamese delegation arrived in Pretoria, the capital of South Africa, beginning their official visit from September 13th to 16th.
Welcoming Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and her delegation at OR Tambo International Airport were the Vietnamese Ambassador to South Africa, Hoang Sy Cuong; the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Mashego-Dlamini; the Director of the Central, Southern and Southeast Asia Department, Sindiswa Mququ; the South African Ambassador to Vietnam, Vuyiswa Tulelo; and representatives from organizations and agencies of both countries.
During the visit, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan is expected to hold talks with the Vice President of South Africa, witness the signing of cooperation documents; meet with the Secretary-General of the ruling African National Congress (ANC) in South Africa; meet with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of South Africa; receive the President of the South African Chamber of Commerce and Industry and South African businesses; meet with local South African leaders and businesses; visit the Vietnamese Embassy in South Africa and meet with officials and the Vietnamese community in South Africa.
In particular, during this official visit, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan will also visit the exhibition, cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Vietnam Cultural Space in South Africa, and attend the ceremony commemorating the 78th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan's visit is considered highly significant, contributing to further strengthening the good traditional friendship between the two countries. It is also expected to provide further impetus for both sides to promote substantive and effective cooperation with specific contents, especially enabling Vietnamese and South African businesses to seize investment and business opportunities.
Earlier, from September 10-13, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and her delegation paid an official visit to the Republic of Mozambique.
