Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan: Awakening the aspiration to develop An Giang province

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that the patriotic emulation movement will arouse pride, confidence, and aspiration to rise up and turn An Giang into a comprehensively developed and prosperous province of the Mekong Delta and the whole country.

On November 3, in Long Xuyen Ward, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council attended and directed the Patriotic Emulation Congress of An Giang province for the period 2025 - 2030.

The congress was attended by 281 delegates representing collectives and individuals who are typical, advanced examples in the patriotic emulation movement of An Giang province, period 2020 - 2025.

Speaking at the opening of the congress, Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung said that over the past 5 years, with the spirit of emulation to successfully carry out the tasks of socio -economic development, ensuring national defense and security, the patriotic emulation movement of the province has developed strongly and deeply, becoming a flag calling on people to participate in building, protecting and developing the province. Many emulation movements have been enthusiastically responded to by the people, bringing positive results, contributing to creating momentum in production and business, creative labor, creating a driving force to promote socio-economic development of the province.

According to Mr. Mung, only through emulation can we create breakthroughs and mobilize huge resources of society for development and through emulation can we form a good environment for innovation. Therefore, the province will continue to create more favorable conditions for the patriotic emulation movement to become a mainstream trend of society. From there, we call on cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, businessmen, workers and people to unite, make efforts to overcome all difficulties, turn challenges into opportunities, focus on striving to achieve the highest results in the socio-economic development targets and tasks of the province, period 2025 - 2030. Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Congress of Delegates of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Speaking at the congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan praised the Party Committee, government, army and people of An Giang for their efforts to overcome many difficulties and challenges, and achieve many important achievements in various fields. The Party Committee, government, army and people of An Giang province continue to join hands and unite to accelerate and make breakthroughs for rapid and sustainable development.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan hopes that the patriotic emulation movement will continue to be lit up and spread strongly, arousing pride, confidence, aspiration to rise up, dare to think big, do big, foster a sense of responsibility in the contingent of cadres, party members and people of the whole province, making An Giang a comprehensively developed and prosperous province of the Mekong Delta region and the whole country.

The Congress approved the list of An Giang Provincial Delegation honored to participate in the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, including 35 delegates.

On this occasion, An Giang province announced the decision of the President to posthumously award the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother to 5 mothers in the province; award many first, second and third class Labor medals; emulation flags of the Government and certificates of merit of the Prime Minister to many collectives and 26 outstanding individuals of An Giang province.
