In anticipation of the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), on the morning of April 25, a provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thi, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and those who contributed to the Dien Bien Phu campaign in Ha Trung district.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, and the delegation visited and presented gifts to the following families: Mr. Hoang Dinh So (born in 1928), a 21% disabled veteran in Tien Hoa village, Ha Linh commune; Ms. Tong Thi Bien, daughter of martyr Tong Van Nguon in Dong Bong village, Ha Tien commune; Mr. Nguyen Van Cu (born in 1930), a volunteer youth in Thuong Quy sub-district, Ha Trung town; Mr. Pham Van Yem (born in 1935), a civilian worker on the front lines in Dong Ninh village, Yen Son commune; and Mr. Hoang Tien Van (born in 1930), a Dien Bien Phu soldier in Thanh Mon village, Ha Dong commune.

During their visits, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, and members of the delegation inquired about the health and living conditions of the Dien Bien Phu veterans. They also expressed their respect and gratitude for the immense contributions and sacrifices of generations of forefathers who, together with the Vietnamese army and people, contributed to the glorious Dien Bien Phu victory that resonated throughout the world.

The comrade extended his best wishes for good health to the wounded soldiers, Dien Bien Phu veterans, frontline civilian workers, volunteer youth, relatives, and those who worship the martyrs. He expressed his hope that the Dien Bien Phu veterans, frontline civilian workers, and volunteer youth of yesteryear would continue to uphold the traditions of Uncle Ho's army and the heroic traditions of their homeland, encouraging their descendants to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations, building a more prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
