Talking with Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Dinh Khac Dinh and the working delegation, Mr. Vu Van Xuan (Tan Long commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang ) could not hold back his tears, his voice was sometimes broken because of the great losses caused by the floods.
The house of Mr. Vu Van Xuan's family, a member of the Association of Village 13, Tan Long Commune, is located right next to the Lo River. During the recent flood, rising water and strong currents caused erosion and landslides, and half of the front yard was "swallowed" by floodwaters.

Mr. Xuan said that to avoid landslides during the rainy season, his family also built embankments, however, the recent flood was so strong that it swept away even the bricks and stones that seemed sturdy and solid. When the subsidence was discovered, Mr. Xuan's family had to leave urgently and stay at a relative's house.
Visiting, encouraging and presenting gifts to Mr. Xuan's family, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Dinh Khac Dinh shared the losses and damages caused by the storm and flood with his family. Sharing with the delegation, Mr. Xuan's voice broke many times, tears welled up, and he was unable to speak, because the house that had been with him for decades was now "precariously balanced" on the Lo River, which was still raging and muddy.

Mr. Xuan is also a 2/4 class disabled veteran. The loss of his right arm has almost made him unable to work. In addition, his house has to be relocated, making him worried about the difficulties his family's life will face in the future.
Faced with the damage caused by the flood, holding Mr. Xuan's hand, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Dinh Khac Dinh shared and encouraged: "Rest assured, the government and the Farmers' Union at all levels will always accompany and support. The most important thing right now is to quickly overcome the immediate difficulties and soon be relocated to a new place to stabilize life."

At Mr. Xuan's family, Chairwoman of the Tuyen Quang Farmers' Association Dao Thi Mai and Acting Secretary of the Yen Son District Party Committee Do Hung Duc kindly asked about his family's health and life. They shared the difficulties the family was facing and wished the family to continue to make efforts, overcome all difficulties, and soon overcome the consequences of the flood.
Belonging to the category of households that had to be urgently evacuated due to riverbank landslides, affected by the recent storm No. 3. Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, a member of village 11, Tan Long commune, said that the recent flood, with water levels over 1 meter high, had damaged many of her family's belongings and assets. The house was seriously affected by landslides, causing the family of 5 to live in constant insecurity.
Moved when the delegation of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Union visited and encouraged her, Ms. Hoa said: "I am very grateful to the Vietnam Farmers' Union, the Farmers' Union of Tuyen Quang province and the leaders of Yen Son district for their concern, encouragement and timely support for the affected people. I hope that I will soon be relocated to a new place to stabilize my life."

At the households, Yen Son District Party Secretary Do Hung Duc inspected the landslide situation caused by floods and requested Tan Long commune leaders to quickly find suitable locations to evacuate households from dangerous areas and support people to soon restore production.
On behalf of the working delegation, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Dinh Khac Dinh sent his sincere and deep encouragement and sympathy for the damage caused by storm No. 3 to the people in the commune. The Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union wished all the people good health, efforts, solidarity, and at the same time requested the Party Committee, the government, and the Farmers' Union at all levels to join hands and support the people to soon overcome difficulties, restore production, quickly stabilize life, and improve family life.

Also this morning, the Delegation visited and presented 100 gifts to 100 members whose houses were severely flooded in 5 branches of villages 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, each gift worth 500 thousand VND.
Previously, on September 14, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Dinh Khac Dinh had a working session to grasp the damage situation and the work to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 at the Farmers' Union of Tuyen Quang province.
At the working session, the delegation of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union shared and encouraged the officials, members and farmers in Tuyen Quang affected by storm No. 3 to try to overcome difficulties, overcome the consequences, soon stabilize their lives and restore production and business.
Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Dinh Khac Dinh suggested that the Tuyen Quang Farmers' Union continue to promote the spirit of mutual love and support, encourage and visit families of members affected by storms and floods; and mobilize all levels of the union to continue to donate, support and assist members in difficult circumstances to soon stabilize their lives.
