Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc inspected the progress of key projects in Chau Phu and Tri Ton districts.

On the morning of June 5, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc led a working delegation (Group No. 4) to inspect key projects and the arrangement of working headquarters of newly established commune units in Chau Phu and Tri Ton districts to remove difficulties for localities.

During the meeting, local leaders reported on the construction, repair, and upgrading of commune-level administrative units after the merger. They also provided information on difficulties and obstacles, such as: the organizational model and information infrastructure serving the public administrative center; funding for repairs and relocation of headquarters; and the design and construction of new headquarters signage.

In addition, localities also reported on the disbursement of public investment funds. Accordingly, Chau Phu district's disbursement progress reached over 19%, Tri Ton district's disbursement reached over 41.5%... The difficulties cited by localities for the slow disbursement were due to a shortage of construction materials and land clearance issues.

At a meeting with local leaders, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc highly appreciated the selection and arrangement of administrative units after the merger. The Vice Chairman also requested that localities focus on collecting, preserving, processing, and digitizing records and documents during the merger process; completing information infrastructure to ensure the smooth operation of the new administrative units and public service centers, preventing disruptions to operations and public services; accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital; and completing and verifying investment capital documents for handover to the new administrative units…

Currently, localities have basically prepared the necessary infrastructure and proactively installed equipment to serve the people when district-level units cease operation. This ensures efficient operation and avoids affecting citizens and those undergoing administrative procedures.
