On the morning of June 5, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc led a working delegation (Group No. 4) to inspect key projects and the arrangement of working headquarters of newly established commune units in Chau Phu and Tri Ton districts to remove difficulties for localities.

At the meeting, local leaders reported on the construction, repair and upgrading of commune-level administrative units after the merger. At the same time, they informed about difficulties and problems, such as: Organizational model, information infrastructure serving the public administrative center; funding for repairing and relocating headquarters; design and construction of new headquarters nameplates, etc.

In addition, localities also reported the disbursement of public investment capital. Accordingly, the disbursement progress of Chau Phu district reached over 19%, Tri Ton district disbursed over 41.5%... The difficulties given by localities in the slow disbursement were due to lack of construction materials, site clearance work...

At the meeting with local leaders, Vice Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ngo Cong Thuc highly appreciated the selection and arrangement of administrative units after the merger. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested that in the coming time, localities need to focus on collecting, preserving, processing, and digitizing records and documents during the merger process; perfecting the information infrastructure to ensure that new administrative units and public administrative centers operate smoothly, without interruption in operations, management, and service to the people; speeding up the disbursement of public investment capital; completing and accepting documents of investment capital sources to hand over to new administrative units...

Currently, localities have basically prepared facilities and proactively installed equipment to serve the people when the district-level units are no longer operating. On that basis, ensuring effective operations, avoiding affecting people and those doing administrative procedures...
