Party and State leaders and delegates, including Vice Chairman of Tuyen Quang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Giang, attended the wrist-tying ceremony during Laos' traditional Bunpimay festival.

Attending the ceremony were Politburo members: Truong Thi Mai, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organizing Committee; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council; Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, branches, organizations, former volunteer soldiers and Vietnamese experts who helped the Lao revolution.

Representing the leaders of Tuyen Quang province were comrade Nguyen The Giang, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

On behalf of the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang sent New Year greetings to the leaders of the Party, State and people of Laos.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the resolute and effective management of the Lao Government and the participation of the entire political system, the Lao people have achieved many great achievements, especially in maintaining political stability, ensuring national defense and security and maintaining economic growth. Laos continues to succeed on the path of building a peaceful , independent, democratic, unified and prosperous country.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam are always determined, together with the Party, State and people of Laos, to preserve and develop the Vietnam-Laos relationship for the benefit of the people of the two countries, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

Attending the ceremony, delegates wished the Lao people more and more prosperity and happiness, and that Laos would be forever beautiful, peaceful and prosperous; and that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos would be forever green and sustainable.

Expressing his honor to welcome the leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam to attend the ceremony, Lao Ambassador to Vietnam Khamphao Ernthavanh emphasized that this demonstrates the friendship between the two countries and is also a great source of encouragement for Lao people living far away from home on the occasion of Bunpimay New Year.
