Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Truong Cong Thai inspected the progress of the Khanh Hoa

On the afternoon of February 18, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Comrade Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the field on the implementation of the construction related to the Component Project 3 of the Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project Phase 1 and the Ho Chi Minh Road Construction Investment Project, the Eastern bypass of Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province.

The Department of Construction's leaders reported on the current status of construction planning around the highway's intersections.

According to the report of the Dak Lak Provincial Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment and Rural Development Project, component project 3 (DATP3) managed by the Provincial People's Committee, is implementing 46 construction teams with 401 equipment and over 540 workers operating on the route. The total value of construction and installation volume is currently about 1,497/4,168 billion VND. Of which, the roadbed construction has completed 83.85% of the K95 base layer and 59% of the K98 base layer. The structural items include 29/29 bridges, 21/21 underpasses, 162/165 cross-culverts... The road surface construction item has only reached 5.1%, behind schedule.

Construction progress has completed 83.85% of the foundation layer.

Regarding site clearance, up to now, all 332.98 hectares of construction site have been handed over, reaching 100%. However, the incomplete relocation of technical infrastructure, especially for residential power lines, has greatly affected the continuous construction of project items. Thereby affecting the project's progress as well as the safety of public traffic on the route. In addition, the current dumping sites only meet 61% of the project's needs.

After inspecting the actual implementation of the construction of Component Project 3, Mr. Truong Cong Thai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Management Board of the Project for Investment in Construction of Traffic Works and Rural Development of Dak Lak Province to urge the construction units to continue taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, increase machinery and workers to speed up the construction progress to ensure the set schedule. In particular, it is noted that some component packages have been handed over the site but the construction progress is low.

The Khanh Hoa - Buon Ma Thuot Expressway Project Phase 1 is being implemented with a total length of 116.577 km and a total investment of VND21,935 billion. According to the plan, some important sections will be completed in 2025, while the entire route is expected to be put into operation in 2027.

In Dak Lak, the project is divided into 3 component projects, of which Component Project 3 (DATP3) is managed by the Provincial People's Committee, with a length of 48.09 km.
