
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized that, in the context of the country's high focus on breakthroughs to move steadily forward in the new era, with science and technology , innovation, and digital transformation as the driving force for development, the fact that the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation is paying practical attention to the country's scientific and creative innovation is of paramount importance.
Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her hope that STEM classrooms would help "learning go hand in hand with practice," where "practice" is achieved through science , creative knowledge, and aspiration; the classrooms would be meaningful and practical spaces where students could have more opportunities to explore, experience, access knowledge, enhance their creativity and thinking skills, achieve breakthrough learning results, and contribute to the development of the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested that the provincial and local education departments effectively utilize the facilities; continue to prioritize investment and replicate effective educational models, contributing to improving the overall quality of education and meeting the development requirements of the new era.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, Nguyen Tuan Anh, expressed gratitude for the attention, sharing, companionship, and support of the Central Government and the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation (NOR) to Lao Cai province in the past; and hoped that in the future, the Central Government and the Corporation would continue to pay more attention to helping Lao Cai province in the fields of education and other areas.

The Petrovietnam STEM Innovation Program was launched based on an idea from General Secretary To Lam. The program, which began on September 21, 2025, aims to complete and put into operation 100 STEM practice rooms within 100 days in 34 provinces and cities, contributing to the formation of a network of practical education "nuclei," connecting and disseminating knowledge nationwide.

In Lao Cai province, the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation invested in three internationally standardized STEM classrooms for Nguyen Hue High School, Cam Duong High School, and Muong Khuong Junior High School. These classrooms are equipped with modern facilities, built to international standards, and aligned with the 2018 General Education Program; allowing for interdisciplinary teaching, experiential learning, practical application, and creative research.

Tran Quang Dung, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group, affirmed that the deployment of the STEM education practice room system is considered the largest-scale project implemented by the enterprise in the field of practical education nationwide to date. This is a concrete way to implement the principle of "learning goes hand in hand with practice," contributing to the implementation of the Politburo's resolutions on innovation, science, technology and digital transformation; and fundamental reform of education and training.

Nguyen Thi Thu, Principal of Nguyen Hue High School, shared that the completed STEM classroom is of significant importance in achieving the goal of fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training, helping teachers and students of the school to effectively utilize investment and meet learning and research needs. Here, students can design, build, program, and experiment with their own hands, transforming theoretical knowledge from textbooks into practical products; providing them with opportunities to be creative, think outside the box, and take initiative. The timely attention, support, and assistance from all levels, sectors, and society are deeply meaningful, further motivating teachers and students of the school to continue improving the overall quality of education.
On this occasion, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra and the Vietnam National Energy and Industry Corporation presented commemorative gifts to Nguyen Hue High School and awarded 30 scholarships to the school's students.
